I need a BIOS for a Clevo N150RD/01. Can't find one online

Hi. I am new to this forum and hopefully someone will be able to help me.

So I was trying to update my BIOS for my Clevo N150RD/01 (i5-6300hq, gtx 960m, 1TB, 12GB Ram) from PC specialist because I was having problems with a NVME SSD I was trying to install which was overheating. I googled and found an updated N150RD Bios from Eluktronics for what seemed to be a clone of the same laptop (slightly different though). Anyway I installed the new BIOS and the I started having problems with my PC. Now I can't use the NVME SSD anymore, I can see it in storage devices, I tried installing windows on it and throws me the "Critical service died" error all the time. I think maybe this BIOS might not be compatible with NVME.

Anyway, I can still use a regular SSD on my laptop now so I haven't killed it completely with the wrong BIOS lol, I just need to flash the old BIOS back. The old Bios was listed as 1.05.11TPCS and the new one from Eluktronics is 1.05.12TEI. Unfortunately the BIOS utility did not backup my old Bios and I can't find mine anywhere.

If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks

Edit : I have found it with the help of somebody from notebookreview forums at https://repo.palkeo.com/clevo-mirror/N1xxRD/. I just need to figure it how to install it as the install instructions are not very clear.

A cautionary tale of laptop BIOS updates.

If you update your PC's BIOS and brick the mobo or otherwise screw it up, it's £50-200 for a new mobo. If you stuff your laptop's BIOS, that's when it gets really inconvenient.

Hello clawdyu,

Thanks for your post. I would not suggest using a BIOS from another source, other than ourselves. Instead, can you email through to [email protected] and mark this FAO Richard. I would be more than happy to check your BIOS version, provide you with the latest version and give you some flash instructions.

Please include your order number for my reference. I look forward to hearing from you.
