makes me feel better then knowing they've either received 3080's or have some in stock to fulfil orders. i'm a solid 3-4 weeks behind you in terms of working days in pre-production, so its looking better for me at the moment.
Agreed its great to hear! I'm 5 working days behind so hopefully they got enough 3080s in to get my pc into build this week!! 🙏

I'm happy for you guys. I'm 8 days pre-prod. I have a waaaaaaaaaaay to go. I hope that 500 cards just appear and I get my build before the year is done ;)

Day 1 ive just been born into a harsh unforgiving 5900x 3080 driven world !

Just came off live chat and they said my pc should be in building by next week pushing the week after. I’m in 60 days pre prod. Changed to a 3090 on New Year’s Eve. They don’t have 3080 in stock but do have 3090’s. I’m pondering whether to cancel at this point, not PCS fault just a bad year to buy a pc lol

You have come this far, so don't be disparaged by the current situation in the world.

I'm now reaching day 50 on pre-production with absolutely no contact from pcspecialist no rough estimate or anything. Am I wrong for finding this quite unprofessional? I totally understand the situation but a simple email expressing their plan or something for some kind of reassurance surely? Its getting very very tedious now waiting around with seemingly no light at the end of the tunnel. I am sad.

This has been addressed in this thread countless times now, I have had a couple of emails from PCSpecialist with updates, the last one being around Christmas time, my build is on 62 days, so not sure if you’d of just missed these updates?

Essentially any update would most likely be we are unable to provide any new information, they don’t know what stock is arriving (with the 3080s) until it arrives due to the current demand for them.

The main threads you should check are https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/customer-support-services-update.76810/ and https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/pcs-posts-on-rtx3080-stock-position.75721/ for a bit more of an insight.

As above, this has been raised before on here. The fact is that PCS have no information they can give you. They are as much in the dark on when they'll get deliveries and how many units they'll get as you are.

Some people have said they'd like a weekly email even if it just said "we have nothing new to tell you". Others have made it clear they'd find that annoying and only want to get emails when there is something to say.

Unprofessional? It depends on which of those camps you belong to. PCS clearly can't please all of the people all of the time..

You have both just joined today.

While I sympathise with the wait, please be advised that you need to read through the existing material and educate yourself on the current situation, that is what a forum is for after all, you search first and ask questions only when you haven't found what you're looking for.

I ordered a 3080 on 17-11-20, but decided to change to 3090 due to being told from PCS my build would not being built untill atleast mid Feb and I have a much better chance of build this month with 3090 as they had stock! But I was told they have 2 queing systems one for amending stock so I'd be at the back of the line and the original 39 day que! But they still recommended changing for quicker results as they still are not sure when 3080s are coming

I have been checking this forum regularly and I was simply stating how I felt, is that allowed on a forum? I never once received an email from PCspecialist with ANYTHING relating to a delay in my order due to the stock issues they are facing - that seems a bit unprofessional to me. I'm disappointed that there's not been any updates at all not even a "sorry this is taking a while we hope you understand" I don't think that's too much to ask for when you're spending your hard earned money and then waiting 2 months and counting for the product.

As already stated numerous times, you need to read the stickies and referenced links and educate yourself on the current situation.

This forum is not a customer services branch of PCS, we're here to fix problems and advise people on getting the best bang for buck.

Any undue negativity will be quickly stamped out.

Everything you've said has been addressed countless times, we're quite sick of hearing it to be frank. But the onus is on you to educate yourself from the wealth of information already posted addressing your concerns.

TBH if you've been checking this forum regularly as you say, you'll know exactly why you're having to wait and why PCS have no information to give you.

I do agree with the mods! I think some people would however like some reassurance of numbers like... Example below
3080 orders | how many fulfilled
Sept 400. | 400
October 3000. | 2973
November 2900. |1999

Etc
Have a read of this sticky
