What price is that build? The problems I see are: the case, the CPU, the cooler and the PSU for starter. It is worth heading over to Puget Systems (a US PC builder) to get some guidance on hardware for your specific programmes (including benchmarks). Pretty much any 5000 series AMD CPU will wipe the floor with anything from Intel.

I realise it's slightly over budget, the idea being is you could drop windows and transfer the license but I wouldn't want to go below this otherwise you start to compromise the platform and reduce upgradeability / reduce lifespan:

Hi spydertracks. Really greatful for this, thank you. I don’t have a copy of Windows but stretching £70 is cool.

It's a solid build, as @Bigfoot says, 32Gb RAM would be extremely beneficial, but you can easily add another 2 x 8Gb to that configuration when you have some more cash.
Would you recommend switching this 1TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 64MB CACHE. For an SSD . I see on puget they recommend working from SSDs or SSD/M.2 NVMe

If you can afford it, I wouldn’t sacrifice anything in the build to accommodate it though.

If the budget isn’t there now, it’s another easy addition when you have the funds.

Ah fair enough. Now this will almost sound an insulting question, and Iam honestly very greatful for all the help. If I was to downgrade a level so to speak and try and get an SSD into the price point. So for example dropping a level of the ryzen. What would you suggest? However if that’s a false economy or not realistic then I’ll accept that of course. Thankyou once again

I wouldn’t downgrade the CPU to get an SSD. You can always add one of these later.

I wouldn't. You're already at the baseline for the uses you're suggesting. I wouldn't go any lower at all.

The GPU is already underpowered, you really want an RTX card as an absolute minimum but the budget isn't there.

You can add an SSD at any time, it's like lego, that easy.

I understand, thanks for the advice I’ve learnt a fair wack this afternoon. Really grateful. One last question, if you don’t mind. If I was to add a ssd and the Rtx card you mentioned @SpyderTracks . What would you suggest if the budget could be modestly increased hypothetically? Thanks again
