It's kind of natural to feel a bit under the weather when reaching the (hopefully) last days of this long looong journey.
From what I've seen in this thread, everytime someone managed to get into building the "threshold" always got a little higher: first it was 60 days, then 80, then 90, 100, now it's 110 working days, Who knows how high it will become!

Btw i'm not ranting or trying to sow despair, since it's not PCSpecialist fault or anyone else for that matter, and I'm sure everyone will get their little baby-PC sooner or later.
It's just stunning to see how everything in the hardware-world is going since the CPU/GPU market went completely dry last year.
I managed to send the order on the 2nd of December, and I can't really imagine how many more orders have been sent from then up to Christmas, and how the queue times are going to grow because of it.
I understand your view and I want to make clear I'm not ranting either but just being realistic: Build times are going up, a few months ago the situation with the GPUs wasn't as dry as it is today but still, PCS managed to not receiving as many cards as its competitors. If we need to be realistic, they are managing really well in this period, being able to drain a lot of order in a dry environment, but they have been very very bad from October to end of February, where it seems their suppliers kinda "choose" not to send them as many cards as their competitors were getting, because I repeat: the global situation is now worse than it was a few months ago, but still, countertrend, PCS orders problem was way worse a few months ago (they ended fulfilling the orders from 17th September to end of October by the end of February)
Now they reached a normal equilibrium, I think they are doing kind of the best they can, but we are suffering their bad behaviour still today for what occurred months ago.
I expect we will reach orders of 150 working days, I don't expect 200 working days just because 4000 series is a thing. This situation will go on the whole year.

I don't want to scare you, but if you go back 120/180 pages I remember a guy that was waiting for gpu only like yourself, he ended up waiting a few weeks more than the people who had ordered an entire computer with a 3080. You can go read it yourself, I hope for you it was just a coincidence.
If by 'an entire computer' you mean a pre-built review model then it will have been built some time before the user bought it and with parts that were in stock at the time.

These are pretty underhanded and unwarranted comments. You are clearly trying to say that somehow PCS are, either through their own action or through their own inaction, directly responsible for not having sufficient stock. You might be right of course, in which case would you please provide the hard evidence you have on which you base these claims?

You did see this from less than a week ago I assume?

I'm on 28 days :D. I feel like a baby. and seing as the GPU shortage is getting worse I don't expect to get my build this year. At least I will be able to upgrade my order in the meantime. Honestly sometime I ask myself why I'm keeping the order as we have no visibility on when we'll be able to get a computer. Today it's 110 days but next month could be 120 and so on. furthermore we're talking about working days so it's even longer :D

The day of the 100 has finally come for me
Hopefully I'll see something change in the next week or two.

I remember when 90 days was the mark then it hit 95 or 100 when people were going into building. I have a sneaking suspicion ill hit 115 or more before I see the building status

Either way it will be worth it. I haven't had a PC since my old one died in December what's a couple more weeks.

Of Course, let me explain better, first of all: What I'm saying it's my personal viewpoint striclty based on my own observation and may not correspond to the truth, you are free to agree with me or not, hence the word viewpoint.
What are the observation I made? The shortages of gpus started right from the beginning the 17th of September, but there have been worst periods and better periods. I remember that even if hard it was possible to find gpus from September to mid January, I followed discord channels that were spamming dozens of links every day, of course dozens of links weren't enough for thousands of people, but it was somehow possible to buy one. I personally managed to buy 2 3060TIs at 500€ and 530€ from two different german shops (I can't say the name right here since it's against the rules) for a couple of friends. What did PCS during this period? They still had to finish the first month of orders, after 4 months. In the end, they finally finished that first month of orders after 5 months, you can go see it yourself, this is a thread accessible to anyone.
Now they are at the end of November, so 2 and a half months of orders fulfilled, 7 and a half months from the beginning, they accelerated, right?

I haven't seen this article specifically, now I did. It's another source of information delaying what another source of information said in the past, which is taht these shortages will last a little more than we tought, I keep reading articles like those, they are becoming kind of cyclical and that's because it's true, the situation is bad and it seems it's getting worse. But the point it's not guessing when it'll end because It's kind of impossibile to tell exactly when this situation will end, what we can do, which it's a little bit easier, is to understand how bad the situation in right now, don't get me wrong, it's still hard to do, but a little bit easier. And the truth is that it has worsened over time. Have you bought something during Christmas or Black friday? I did, I've been able to buy 2 monitors for friends of mine, ram kits ecc, I even changed my own monitor. Fast forward to February/April, ram prices has risen, monitor prices has risen and some were even impossibile to find, power supply vanished everywhere or costed like a kidney, discord channels stopped sending links for weeks, I mean, you got the point.
I'm still going around about what the situation have been and kind of saying the exact same thing I did in the other message, which is that somehow PCS managed to perform worse than how is performing right now even if the situation now is way way worse than it was before, and it's not because they are doing a spectacular job right now, I personally think they are doing ok, but because they did really really bad in the past. You sayed that "PCS are, either through their own action or through their own inaction, directly responsible for not having sufficient stock.", I personally think that PCS did not assert itself as it should have done, behaving and getting treated like a small system builder when in reality it's not. They can't make miracles since shortages still exists, but I think they could have handled it better, even in a customer point of view (I live in Italy and I'm lucky enough to understand and somehow speak english, do you have an idea of how many people out there who have no idea this forum exist waiting for 5 months with no information about their orders?), I mean, you are a moderator and have been following this thread since the beginning, you should know exactly as I do how much of a pain the orders from mid September to mid October have been and how much people have been complaining.

If by 'an entire computer' you mean a pre-built review model then it will have been built some time before the user bought it and with parts that were in stock at the time.
Yes, you're right, they are different from PCS that lets you pick exactly the parts you want (sorry for my small vocabulary, I don't know how to differentiate in a simple word those different kind of companies and their way of operating), but the point it's the same, you have no idea how many PMs I've received from people that have cancelled their order here because they received their system with a 3080 in it in a week or two elsewhere, linking me those shops. You can also kind of guess who they were since you've been following this thread from the beginning. Due to Brexit I couldn't make the jump myself, and overall, I know that buying at PCS it's a guarantee of impeccability since a friend of mine already bought 2 laptops here. But that doesn't mean that PCS can't fail sometimes. They did.

So to precies that tome, you're equating your ability to buy one ot two units with PCS's need to buy hundreds. You're saying that because you can buy a couple that PCS must be failing because their order for several hundred didn't materialise?

You're not comparing like with like.

No. As I've said, it's not easy to define the status of the gpu shortages, but we all know the water shortages in Taiwan, the Evergiven problem with the Suez canal, the Chinese new year, the ethereum All Time High, the new 3060 cards that use wafer that could have gone to other cards, same with the incoming 3080ti etc etc. are a thing and played a role, and all those thing happened in 2021.
Yes, it affected also my personal ability to buy one or two units, as it must have affected the ability for companies to buy several hundred.
How do you explain the countertrend? Are you saying that it's not true that the situation is worse now than it was 4/5 months ago?

As the legends foretold, my order went into building! 🥳

Now all my hopes and prayers go to the delivery system, which hopefully doesn't bring me a package of finely crushed sand/exploded stained glass (Gotta love that sweet corsair glass case, and the risk that comes with it).
Might be quite out of context here, but since almost 6 months of experience are pooled in here, and this is my first order, i'm gonna ask this anyway: if my order is delivered as a pile of shrapnel and pieces of glass, the first thing to do should be calling assistance and send it back, right?

Finally got my build today, wasn't in for the first three deliveries lol. Just wondering if anyone had received the Samsung SSD promo codes? Haven't received anything in my emails. I'd guess I've missed out but thought I'd ask (I'll email PCS too). Got two packs of fans on the way, CPU (5600x) gets pretty toasty (70c)with the stock cooler, only played Subnautica so far though.
