Could use a last minute check! £2000 budget, first gaming PC!

Not sure if anyone can perhaps check whether there’s any obvious flubs in my configuration? Haven’t had a PC since my old Pentium II!

Any and all advice appreciated! Thank you!

Had to copy the spec in a different format as the ‘post to forum’ didn’t have my latest changes! So hopefully it’s alright!

EDIT: Currently have a 1080p monitor but looking to upgrade to 1440p shortly, aiming to play a majority of games at max settings (or as close to) and the ultimate goal is to prep as much as possible for Starfield / ES6 knowing that I’ll likely need a GPU upgrade before the latter!

Thank you ever so much!
If it wasn’t too much bother, could I perhaps ask if there was any particular difference or reason why you’d suggest the specific motherboard / cooler or if there was a reason you’d dropped the RAM?

Admittedly those were the bits I was the most unsure of when making my selections so I’d love to get any advice I could from someone a little more knowledgeable! :)

very few Games apart from sims such as MSFS require more than 16GB, and its always an easy upgrade if you do find in the future that you need more, I dropped the CPU to the 5600X for budget, and its a very good gaming CPU, if you went up to the 5800, youd have to up the motherboard to one of the B570 boards, which if i remember took it to about £2200, the frostflow coolers are pretty naff, and the cooler you can keep everything, the boost clocks you can achieve

Thank you for the great advice, greatly appreciated! Have gave a few tweaks to the cooler and, all things considered, will find a little extra to keep the 5800x as just in case anything does make more use of the additional cores in future. :)

Now just to wait for the build date (whenever that might come!).

I really thought I’d made a pretty competent go at speccing the components but I’ve had to make so many tweaks as I’ve found out my mistakes along the way… I’m actually glad there’s a bit of wait on building at the moment as hopefully it’s allowed me to optimise it a little better than what I initially requested… thanks! 😅
