EA Had a hacker in their support network for an undertermined period of time

This is still ongoing, but EA have alluded that this was a breach from external sources that was able to steal any account they wished, but not only that, they could revert an account block, and liaise with the affected account through official media.

This is really really bad for EA.

I saw the video had been posted, but hadn't got around to watching it yet. That really is something else. Typical EA though!

The time it took them to take the situation seriously can only be a bad look on them.

We'll see what comes out of it.

If it is an ex employee or something who managed to retain access, that's one thing, but begs the question of their security policies, but if it's a breakthrough hack from just some random blackhat, that's another thing entirely, and trust will be seriously damaged for their online gamers.
