Gpu idle temp and memory usage high help!

Hi apologies if this is random, but I’ve been having a random issue with my GPU temps.

A few days ago I had issues with screen flickering and going black in which I managed to fix (something do with the gpu drivers) anyways today I started playing a game and I ended up getting a warning message saying my gpu temp is to high (this was a first) so I go on thunder-master to check temps and at idle my temp is at 36 degrees with my memory usage going up and down from 28-48 percent.

When playing Rainbow 6 I normal run high frames and temps are fairly normal below 65 degrees but today I’m running 60-80 frames and the temps race to 67-80 degrees.

Overall I have no clue what to do and it’s worrying me

Is this a PC specialist system? Could you post your full specs from the order page?

sorry the case is:
Case Model:H510 Elite
Case From:Scan.co.uk
Firstly, what are you using to read temps? And when you say idle, that's with absolutely nothing open right? Even automatically starting apps?

What AV are you running?

using ThunderMaster and can use nvidia's layout.
the thing is my task manager has stuff running in the background but unsure what would be causing the high temps, as yesterday id have stuff running in the back and it was completely normal

right now just being on chrome righting this my temp has gone up to 40-41
Ok, so there are only 2 metrics that are used in recording temps.

If you have chrome or anything else open, then it's not idle and temps can't be referenced to anything.

So very firstly you have to install HWMonitor, have it open with CPU and GPU temps showing, then also have Task Manager open sorted by CPU.

Take a screenshot of the results under idle ie NOTHING open, not even auto started programs.

Regarding background processes, stuff like XBOX, iCUE etc have always been on there and had no issues. Apologies also if im being an idiot
