First liquid series

Hello everyone I am thinking of doing my first liquid series below I have placed the configuration I would like to do, does anyone have any considerations on this? In addition to keeping it clean of dust, on average how often should the liquid in the system be replaced? How often should the pipes be changed? Is there anything in particular I need to pay attention to compared to the classic air-cooled or AIO system?

I guess you're going for one of these for aesthetics mate, which I get they look great.

There are a number of changes I would make to get a little more for your cash. Can you let us know what your budget is, what you plan to use this for and what monitor you'll be using?

As for maintenance they should have the fluid changed every year. I believe PCS offer a service for £125 or £150 where they will do this for you which is good as doing it yourself can be daunting if inexperienced

If you include the green link at the bottom of your specs page it would make it much easier for us to make suggestions on changes

Mainly I will use it with simulators because from Xbox I am tired of arguing with the steering wheel, at the moment I have a 4k TV, I have to rearrange the room to put a desk with monitor so I am satisfied with the TV for now and maybe a VR, aesthetically it is beautiful and I prefer to do it liquid because in the summer the house gets very hot and I would not want the components to suffer.

I've rearranged your storage mate to give you two M.2 SSD's. Basically much much much faster storage than you had before

This would be a brilliant system for VR although I'm not a fan of overclocking the Ryzen CPU's I find they perform better without overclocking due to how they boost

Basically they can only be OC'd to the speed of the slowest core, so it may cap out around 4.7 or 4.8 Ghz total for all cores. Whereas the Ryzen self boosting capabilities can boost certain cores to over 5.0Ghz on it's own without the need for overclocking as long as it's kept suitably cool

Anyways it's ridiculously impressive especially with a good VR set. The 4K TV is fine but ideally you want 4K 144Hz to get proper use of that 3080Ti

I'm not crazy about overclocking either but all the cpu in the liquid series configurator are like this, I know that a monitor would be better than the TV but the cabinet where it is placed is low and with the seat of the next lever racing, if I put the monitor there it would be too low and I would see the wall 🤣

I genuinely wouldn't recommend a liquid system. It looks great and performs brilliantly but you need to be a proper enthusiast to look after it and it can be a proper hassle. If anything goes wrong it's a nightmare as you're draining liquid and all that other hassle.

Regardless of the temps in the house I would still be opting for a H150i cooler with a decent case. Spend the extra money to get one of the AIB GPUs instead of that huge chunk on the liquid.

With regards to the OC, I would ask PCS to remove it personally (if you insist on the liquid system). You can put this request through on the phone, email or via chat.

I had done the exact same configuration but with the H100i elite Capellix, the problem is that the Corsair 465X case is gone and they told me that it will be back in February / March but if I wait so long the graphics card will disappear again.

You can order your own case and have it shipped to them

Why do you specifically need the 465x? I would never suit my build to fit my case, you suit the case to fit the build :)

There are many case options that will house the H100i, or what I would recommend.... the H150i.

I had chosen the 465X because it was aesthetically beautiful and has good airflow, but at the moment it is no longer available and the other houses proposed are small to accommodate the h100i or h150i and aesthetically they are not the best.

The 5000D is on there, the H150i was literally designed to for this case. The 5000D/5000X are the same case with a difference front panel

The 465X is old now. It was replaced (pretty much) by the 4000X. The 5000X is the big brother, also not available, but as above.... the 5000D can be converted to the 5000X with an optional panel.

I certainly wouldn't be limiting myself to a liquid build based on the availability of cases. Even a call with PCS will let you know what they can help with :)
