Glad I found this forum as I also am having this exact same issue with my PCSPECIALIST build I also have very similar specs to you and I’m suspecting it to be the AMD RYZEN 9 5900x but also we have the Corsair H150i ELITE CAPELLIX RGB so it could be that as I’ve heard many bad things about Corsairs buggy ICUE software maybe that has something to do with it?… this issue is very inconsistent been driving me up the wall especially when playing a competitive shooter and it happens at the most inconvenient times it happens for 2-3 seconds all the audio becomes distorted and frames drop to the single digits then it won’t happen again for a day or two lol happens on both the Desktop and playing games here’s my specs…

Case: COOLERMASTER MASTERCASE H500M
Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12 Core CPU (3.7GHz-4.8GHz/70MB CACHE/AM4)

Did you order with windows or without?

Can you post a screenshot of your windows update page?

I mean I’ve updated the optional updates many times since July but I’ll update them again but I don’t think it’ll solve the issue 🙃
It's not about solving it, it's just you can't start troubleshooting until you're on an up to date fully configured windows platform.

First thing to do is monitor temps under load with something like Prime95

How are you updating GPU drivers? If by GeForce Experience, are you doing a custom install each time?

Oh my bad! I update my GPU drivers via GeForce Experience selecting the Clean Installation option each time I do a new install.

Just downloaded the latest AMD Chipset driver now. Should I select the "Torture Test" option on Prime95?
Just leave everything at defaults and yes, do the torture test. Monitor temps with HWMonitor while it's running and take screenshots of hwmonitor readings for CPU after about 10 mins

Here's a video of my issue strangely the recording doesn't capture the audio becoming all distorted but if you look at my FPS counter in the top left corner you can see my FPS plummet from 144FPS down to 26FPS for a second and back up to 144FPS again.

im also on a ryzen 9 5950x with a 3090 rog strix, now what ive found is with latencymon it gave me a potential solution but im going to call PCS about it first. It is saying could be related to power management, which is entirely possible since before i used to put my pc to sleep but it would reboot instead of sleeping, I have disabled that now since i shut down the pc instead at night. This stutter issue still occurs however so will see what PCS tech support says, cant touch bios settings i think anyway without voiding warranty. What latency mon said is attached.

Have your run DPC checker by any chance? This doesn't look like a power issue this looks like a latency issue with your adio driver.

Have you checked the Drivers tab and sorted it by DPC count to see what the top results are?

Edit - Just to put this into context for you the Highest measured interrupt to process latency should really be less than 1μs your audio driver in that screen shot is 2809 μs.

2nd Edit - Just a correction. DPC should be between 0 - 300μs not sub 1μs. For some reason in the app they switch between ms and μs between the main and drivers tab and I misread. Either way 2000μs+ is not good.

For context my audio driver's highest execution is currently 54.4μs.
