Thanks for all of your help. I will let you know what he goes for but I suspect he will just order whatever I recommend to him.

Do let us know, I'd be really interested, I love these no compromise systems, they make me giggle like a schoolboy

Shocked and appalled at the selection of the KF processor in this thread. Down right dangerous. This is an office PC people, having redundancy on tap is an absolute must. There can be no stone left unturned for operating excel in the harshest of conditions.

Teams is going to also warrant the STRIX option on the GPU. I personally wouldn't settle for anything less. I would offset the costs, a little, with a 500GB primary as 1TB is just going to be filled with PDFs in no-time.

I dropped the cooler to the H115i also. It has the CPU covered without any trouble and it'll be almost silent. Given the office use the 20w from the 150 won't make any odds.

Just an update for you all.
He decided he couldn't wait for one to be built so ended up going for an off the shelf one HP Omen 30L (delete if I'm not allowed to post that bit)
I'm sure it wont be as good as the one's you speced (looking at it I suspect it doesn't have the best airflow) but I'm sure it will stand up to a few excel spreadsheets handsomely.
Thanks for all your help and sorry to waste your time. (he did go for the Logitec pro x mouse recommended above though)

If it comes with the 10k series as googled then it's not going to be a patch on the systems recommended, but as long as he's happy. It'll certainly be up to office tasks in its sleep :)

HP Omen 30L... yikes

11900k with a 120mm AIO cooler isn't a good combo for any build

I wouldnt take a HP computer if they paid me.

Gods honest truth.

Howcome he couldnt wait a week or so to have it built? He'll be paying through the nose for something thats going to have real issues, and cost a fortune to fix when components blow. I remember buying a HP desktop before, the PSU went on it after a year.
To buy a PSU with same power output was something like £25 at the time, HP used some weird socket so you had to buy one of theirs, £70...
Laptop I had off them, the graphics card in it had a known fault and the manufacturer had extended its warranty by 2 years because of it, HP didnt pass that info on, mine went at roughly 18 months old and they charged me for a new one.

Awful company.
