I'd not go with the DDR5 RAM, with the latency that's not a lot better performing than 3600MHz DDR4 and a lot pricier, I'd also rejig the storage with 500GB 980, a 1TB 670, and keep the baracuda, a minimum of the 850RMx, and then a Corsair H100i ELITE CAPELLIX Cooler

I would drop the first M.2 to a fast 500GB drive for OS and applications then you will want a second M.2 drive in there for your media to reside on when editing, also consider adding a second smaller SATA SSD for a scratch drive, doesn't add much cost but can be beneficial depending on which editing software you are using.

Would you reccomend 2 SSD's over 1 SSD and a HDD?

Hi there,
This is my second time posting to this forum, with an updated build. I'm brand new to this, so any insight is appreciated. I'm building a PC primarily for gaming and video editing. I recently bought myself this monitor:

BenQ EX2710R 27" Quad HD 165Hz Gaming Monitor with AMD FreeSync

- refresh rate of 165Hz
- 1 millisecond response time

My stretch budget is £2,750, please let me know what you think of my build.

I would not recommend the 12900KS. With video editing there is a case for the 12900K, but the KS version is a tiny overclock for hundreds of pounds more, extra power draw and extra heat. If you were to go for it, you'd also need to way ramp up the cooling and power supply. I'd just stick for the 12900K and still upgrade cooling and power supply to be on the safe side: probably one of the H115i coolers and the 1000W PSU. Otherwise it looks a great build.
