Yes. It is a PCS laptop.

It has come with Windows 11 Pro installed. I changed the order at the last minute..

How did you create the windows usb?

instructions for clean install

Download a new copy of Windows using the Media Creation Tool (Second option on linked page) to an 8GB (min) USB.
Boot that USB and choose a Custom Install.
Delete all UEFI partitions on the system drive (EFI System, Recovery, MSR Reserved, Primary).
Select the unallocated space that results and click the Next button. The installer will create the correct partitions and install Windows.
Run Windows Update repeatedly, even across reboots, until no more updates are found.
You may need/want to download and install the latest graphics driver from the Nvidia/AMD website (they change so regularly the latest version isn't always in the Windows libraries).
This is also worth a watch

And you created it recently?

If you go into the BIOS, does the drive show up there?

If it does, the windows installer doesn't have the relevant NVME driver which would normally happen on a very outdated installer version, that's why I'm asking. If that's the case and the drive is recognised in the BIOS, then you'd have to load the NVME driver in the link below the drive selection window

If the drive doesn't show in the BIOS, it's likely failed and would need replacing.

Can I ask what the laptop is for? It's on a very old chipset and processor, they were pretty poor performers even when they were new

I created it about two hours ago.

Its shows up and starts off ok until that bit in the picture.. I don't seem to find the hard drive to install on.

Ok, I'm gonna be blunt here

It's really poorly configured, you've chosen a processor that's 3 generations old, and spent an enormous amount of money on 64Gb RAM which you're never going to use, and Windows Pro which again, you're never going to use.

Before continuing, I would strongly suggest returning it and getting some advice on a modern laptop.

Been on the phone to the for an hour.

Its going back on Tuesday. Just wanted a 14'' laptop thats easy to carry.
