PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Review Fusion III 14'

Sent it back, and PC Specialist have looked at it and said that this just how it's designed, rather than specific faults with the unit. I can't really see how that can be correct with the USB ports, I had a few people try to put pen drives etc in one of the ports, and no-one was confident trying...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Recoil III GTX - Trackpad stopped working [RESOLVED]

I think there's also a shortcut to disable some trackpads by double tapping in the far top left of the trackpad.

Maybe, part of the problem with the touchpad though seems to just be that the material it's made of isn't good enough quality.

It's the 25W version, the device ID is n1D13. I don't have an external mouse to check - I think it's the quality of the material the trackpad is made out of just isn't very good. I've got an old (and cheap) Asus that has an excellent trackpad and tested one or two other laptops and they are all...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Information / guidance on setting up laptop

Yeah I think so, I ran all the windows updates and drivers first thing out the box, but it does feel like that's the issue, I don't think the hardware could be this bad straight out the box, I'll check again. It feels like different parts of the touchpad have different cursor speeds.

Hi, I've just got one of these, and have found the touchpad really difficult to use (jerky, jumpy, hard to position etc) - have you had any problems with yours?

No worries at all - do you know any tools to test the touchpad (or know any tricks). I've tried changing the speed / sensitivity but at the moment the touchpad is pretty much unusable for editing text / anything requiring accuracy, and I got the laptop for GIS / coding - it sort of jumps around...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Information / guidance on setting up laptop

Got a reply from customer services saying they didn't have a laptop specific manual, but that on page 24 of the desktop manual there were some bits that are relevant to laptops, and other than that, just turn it on.

Thanks for the advice on batteries. The only thing in the manual was a welcome booklet about desktop computers (mine is a laptop). Thought it a bit odd that there wasn't more information on the system, the components, some guidance on what to do / not to do etc, suggestions for setting it up...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Information / guidance on setting up laptop

Hello (new to forum) just received my laptop today, was a bit surprised to find that the package didn't have any information about setting up the laptop, how to treat the battery, anything about a warranty, an invoice, copy of the order etc. Does this sound normal or does it sound like there's...
