I have tried upgrading to windows 11. This didn’t resolve the issue.
I’m back on a fresh install of 10.
I haven’t replaced the thermal paste. When I took to the computer repair store they offered this but said they don’t think it’ll solve my issue.

My current laptop a Dell XPS 9510 was running my programming software and simulator without issue (TIA Portal v18 and Factory io) until recently.
Now when i visulise my code in the virtual enviroment Factory io the programming software stutters enough to make it unusable.
