Ohh that might be one to go for then.
I appreciate the info RE tong fang, I guess personal bias is hard to overcome. Every Clevo I had from PCS is still working. My first and only tongfang was such a terrible experience I was put off from PCS for a bit and went for an Asus laptop for a bit.
Hi all, left this a little while, whats the consensus? How do they compare to Clevo and Tongfang?
And also I see the defiance 5070ti is pretty good value (albeit intel cpu), is that Clevo?
Thanks
2 fold. 4tb for 1tb. In the 2nd of 2 slots. Need the space (Stalker 2 was 150gb) and I do record a lot of gameplay videos. Also, my brother could use the 1tb in his ps5.
No. I'm looking at these. .5mm thick. Still don't know if it'll fit.
Upgrading a 980 in my laptop to a 990 Pro. Installed the last one without a heatsink, ran fine for a long tike (still good). Should I bother with a heatsink for the 990? It's not my OS drive, just file storage and games.
1080p, 300hz.
Yeah I might wait for a potential 5xxx series. Would also like to see what AMD might offer as well. Tbh I was a bit blindsided by that price. Amazing value.
Quite interested in a little upgrade. Currently got a 3070 Asus laptop, starting to show it's age after 4 years though still works. Is the 4070 going to be much better? Also like having Ryzen. Have a relative that'd take it off my hands if I did go for another Clevo so it wouldn't go to waste at...
Had some good Clevo from here in the past, but my last PCS Laptop was Tongfang which was dreadful. Went to Asus, been going well for a few years now. Looking for an upgrade and thinking of PCSpec again. Anyone know the brands of their current laptop offerings?
Clevo is great but won't touch...
Thanks for that chart, very useful. It is "just" a 5800h in the competitor PC. But if the TDP quoted by Macco is correct, I think gaming performance on the 3070 would also be better. Tricky. 105w 3080 max q vs 3070 130w.
Yeah it did sound a little high. I guess they were mistaken. With that TDP, I'll probably get better performance out of the 130W 3070.
Pretty much what I'd heard, lol. As Macco says though, maybe not too bad in a laptop?
11th Gen? I've not heard great things about them Desktop wise. Also seems to generally run hotter than AMD these days which is best avoided in a laptop.
