PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PC For Audio Production

The Intel CPU is a downgrade really, you could well hit the temp limits (and therefore thermal throttle) whereas the AMD chip will motor all day long at high frequency. If you look the cache is smaller which might affect your work. From other reviews knocking about, that Intel SSD is a pile of...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Future-proof (relatively) gaming laptop - help/advice

AMD would be a safer bet, plus it probably will work out a bit cheaper, or at least you will get a better CPU for your money. 32GB isnt needed for gaming and if it was then you would opt for the fastest RAM that you can afford. GPU's in a laptop are a bit tricky, tend to be low power variants...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Nova with 1440p 144hz refresh rate

The Nova is an awesome looking machine and has plenty of grunt, however book in for a visit to the chiropractor if you intend to move it around. I have the Intel-esk alternative and i weighs a tonne! However I knew this when buying and it doesn't move from where i plonked it months ago.

What an awesome showroom.... If I ever win the lottery that would be on my list of places to buy some gadgets from. @SpyderTracks totally agree with you on that log cabin, just needs a good fishing lake nearby for perfection!

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Computer crashing when playing Seige

Quick question..... When you are running 3D Mark stress test, you're leaving the machine alone to do "it's thing", yeah? I'm only asking as I have come across a failed test before and it was due to me faffing about on a different screen. Is it crashing doing the run as well or just when your lad...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Recoil IV BIOS

Look, at the end of the day the choice is yours. You buy the machine and you do whatever you want to it, paint it pink or put glitter on it, etc then thats up to you. In the T's & C's it states that you flash your BIOS without PCS's authority and it all goes pear shaped then it won't be covered...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST NVidia buying Arm?

I have never gotten my head around why people rave about Crapple. Always found their stuff overpriced and restrictive, owned an ipod purely because a previous car had the Apple doodah in the glove box as a factory option (BMW for you), instead of a CD player/multi disc thingy. They are...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Decent spec?

    1. Honestly AMD have got their stuff sorted, you are wasting money on old technology, trust me, I know. 2. B450 is a AMD motherboard. 3. SSD is a bit more expensive, again money is a factor here. HDD's are cheaper. So in your case a smaller SSD is used for the OS and maybe a couple of games etc...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New member - 30 series got me in a dilemma!

Sure it was @SpyderTracks that mentioned that the laptop cards tend to be 6 months behind the desktop variants.
