    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Budget gaming laptop

The Lunar Spark R in the review section comes in at £999 and is equipped with an RTX 3060 - a fantastic card at 1080p and capable of 1440p on most titles with slightly tweaked settings. I've noticed that your budget is in euros though so if you're shipping outside the UK that may be something...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Will you consider selling gaming laptops without batteries?

Even with a battery installed you can always hold the power button down for 6 seconds to immediately power the machine down. You aren't held to ransom by the charge left in the battery. I've never experienced a desktop or a laptop where this method doesn't cut the power.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Touch pad - honesty please !

I can't comment on the Cosmos II but here is a picture of my 1 year old Optimus V 17.3". To be honest it doesn't bother me as it doesn't affect functionality but I suppose it is something you should factor in.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST windows size

The shortfall of 6Gb is a recovery image stored on the drive which is hidden from Windows. If you right click "This PC", select "Manage" then click "Storage" and finally "Disk Management" you'll see the hidden partitions. Here's another screenshot from my system so you can compare. As you can...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST windows size

70 Gb sounds high. Here is a snapshot of WinDirStat from my 8 month old Optimus V which has a 120Gb SSD. I use the hibernate function and I have 16 Gb of RAM (the amount matters). I've expanded the second folder down which has both the hibernation file and the page file just so you can see.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST SkyFire IV 14" Battery

I agree with TheGeeza. Here's a screen of my 8 month old Optimus V 17.3" which has been used almost daily since I got it, both on mains and on battery. I would call PCS.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Second Opinion after speaking to PCS

A wee double post here. I ran 2 stress tests using default settings and the modified settings and here are my results. In both screenshots the values on the left are determined by my cursor position which is shown by a white line. The first test was default settings and the second was my...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Second Opinion after speaking to PCS

I have an idea for you which I sometimes use on my own laptop. Using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility you can underclock and undervolt your CPU. On my rig with the same CPU I can lower the temperatures by at least 10 degrees doing this. There is no noticable difference in performance since most...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST 2nd Monitor Fullscreen Games Slow Down

Looking at those temps you are definitely experiencing throttling. I don't think there is any way to manually run the fans at full speed but with the temperatures in that graph they should already being doing so on their own. If not then that's your problem which could have been caused by the...
