    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Ram upgrade question

I'm wondering whether I should increase from 16gb to 32gb. In normal browsing situations like now I am at 30% memory usage. If I start a game up it's pushing 50% straight away. I don't play many games but when I do it is occasionally Cities Skylines which is quite resource intensive.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Ram upgrade question

If I have 2 x 8gb sticks, can I just replace them with 2 x 16gb sticks or the same brand/speed etc and it will continue to work or do I need to make system changes?

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Motherboard upgrade question

It doesn't - my order page is a mess and contains lots of credit notes and sub orders as I was changing the initial setup quite a bit. What is on that link is my setup

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Motherboard upgrade question

Yeah I've got the ASUS ThunderboltEX 3-TR. I installed it on my current B550-PLUS after I received the computer. But its been acting up, I don't think its compatible with Windows 11 or the Audio device I use with it isn't, one or the other. I've rolled back to Windows 10 and all is ok, I'll...

Oh ok, sounds like I'd need a whole new computer just to get a Thunderbolt port built in then :(

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Motherboard upgrade question

I bought a new PC from here a few years ago, I asked no end of questions as it was my first new build and wanted it to be right - it was and haven’t had a single problem with it. The only thing missing which I mentioned at the time was there was no thunderbolt option on motherboards available...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Upgrade question

Do you think its worth just sticking with the Noctua then instead of paying for the water cooler and the fitting and whatever is costs to send back to PCSpecialist? It's not that bad, just I thought it would be less noticeable. But as others said, it may be the case fans and I don't know how to...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Upgrade question

It may be, it's hard for me to know. I did want the Noctua case fans, I even ask PCSpecialist if I could buy them and send them so they could install them instead of the case fans that came with the case but they didn't allow it.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Upgrade question

I was going back and forth for weeks trying to decide to have a water cooler or air cooler it was the one thing I couldn't decide on. Just looking at what you suggested and reading this https://www.tomshardware.com/uk/reviews/corsair-h170i-elite-capellix-review/3 the Noctua fan seems quieter...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Upgrade question

Maybe I will keep it as it is then, as the upgrades wouldn't be that big to make it worthwhile. I do have it on PWM, I was fiddling with it for ages to get the right times it ramps up too for ages as it was worse than this when I first got the pc - it was ramping up sooner and more or less never...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Upgrade question

I received an email from PC Specialist earlier as its been a year since I ordered my first PC from them. It's been spot on and haven't had any problems with it. They mentioned in the email about upgrades and that led me to wonder about a few things. The only thing I wish I'd done was maybe have...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Was I hacked?

I remember I got the email, but I don't click links in emails and ended up ignoring it as I'm always wary about things like that. To be honest I must not have visited the site in 10 years and couldn't even remember what it was. But by the time I got the email I'd say alot of damage was done...
