Didn't try a clean install but might give that a go in the future.

Pretty much agreed with them that it does not appear to be a major issue. They offered to take it in and do some testing on it or for me to continue as normal and everyone is now aware in case something comes up in the future so that's what I am gona do.

Quick update as promised. Did the BIOS reflashing today but sadly it didn't make any difference.

First thing they have asked me to do is reset the RAM and drives, pretty much remove them leave for a bit and put back in. So I guess I will try that tomorrow.

Yeah I will post the outcome here. Thanks very much for all your help and everyone else too! As you say I think its just a bug or something but if nothing else better to raise it so they are aware. Haha yeah not going near any BIOS updates without checking with them first. Thanks again.

Somewhat familiar with BIOS, I can get into it and can have a look around if I knew what I was looking for lol.

I tried the powercfg.exe /hibernate off, it didn't fix it but this time when it came back in it was like the PC had booted from cold, everything was closed and chrome gave an error say its not closed down correctly. Also did the scan but it didn't show up anything.

I normally stick it in sleep mode when I go for lunch or whatever its not a big deal not to use it its more just so that I am not worrying in the back of my mind that there is a bigger issue behind it. So I did the above and its no longer happening on start up. It is when it comes out of sleep mode though. It also shows the PC Specialist splash screen after it happens but again all the programs I had running etc are still open.
