PCSPECIALIST What's the best 4K budget option for a RTX 3080 at close viewing distance?

I wouldn’t recommend going for 1440p as it won’t make full use of the 3080. Gigabyte have a 28 inch version of the M32U, the M28U which is also available on Curry’s.

This is about as low as I would recommend from PCS to get a decent gaming experience. Looking at another £150 for a monitor to go alongside. You might get a cheaper deal going down the self build route, so best of luck on Tom's Hardware if that's the path you want to take. Case COOLERMASTER...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST First gaming desktop build - Any advice very, very much appreciated! : )

Case: NZXT case has poor airflow so will cook your components. The TD500 is a little pricier but has much better airflow and will house everything nicely. Motherboard: The Asus board is a higher quality then the Gigabyte option and will suit the 5600x better. Storage: Would definitely recommend...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Monitor Recomendation

With a budget like that I would probably recommend the G9 Neo, as in your old posts you've mentioned the PC is for gaming. Would just want to double check this, as you've upgraded to the 5950x and 3090 since then. This is a step up for heavy use productivity, but for gaming you can save a fair...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Is this gaming PC good for regular gaming like rust and battle 2042????

Hi there, This is a pretty good start, but could use a few tweaks. What is your budget? Any uses besides gaming? e.g streaming, editing etc What monitor do you have or are looking to get? The 3060ti is a 1440p card so just want to make sure you get a monitor to match it. Please could you include...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST £2k budget desktop advice

This has everything that you'll need. 5600x would probably do the job nicely but the 5800x means you'll have 8 cores which mirrors what consoles currently have. A lot of modern games are now utilising more cores such as Warzone so 8 cores will look after you for the next few years. 3200mhz is...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Ordered this any problems with the spec?

That's a great value choice there. I remember the good ol' Samsung G5 going down to £240 during Prime Day, but haven't seen anything of note dipping below that mark.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Multi purpose but mainly gaming.

As mentioned above the Fractal Define 7 can support a 5.25 drive. I have this case and I can highly endorse it. It is worth mentioning to PCS in the order that you want to install your own DVD drive though, as otherwise they will assemble the PC with that slot removed. While we're on the spec I...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Is there any problems with this build?

This is the same price as your original spec, very slightly over your 2k budget but has all the bells and whistles. Downgraded the CPU to the 6 core 5600x. This is still a powerhouse of a CPU and will be ample for gaming. The 5800x has slightly better performance but that doesn't really make an...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Is there any problems with this build?

Hi there, This is a pretty strong start but could do with a few tweaks. Please could you let us know your budget, any uses beyond gaming e.g streaming, editing etc, and what monitor you're pairing with this? Please could you also slap in the config link to make it easier for us to make some...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New PC for Streaming/Games/Work

This will do you very nicely. Would recommend upping the motherboard to the x570 Strix as it pairs very nicely with the VRMs. You can also drop the capture card. You'll be using either Streamlabs or OBS to encode your gameplay for Twitch, a capture card is only neccessary if you're using a...

As above I would recommend reading through the thread Martin has posted. Then please post the full spec along with the config link and let us know your budget, use case and monitor.

For 1440p 144hz gaming you can save a good chunk of change. The 3080ti is an absolute behemoth of a GPU, to make use of it you’re looking at spending around £800 on a 4K 144hz display, or going for an Ultrawide/Superwide option like the Samsung G9 or Alienware’s 38 inch offerings. For 1440p...

I’d seen lots of good reviews about Free Guy. Obviously Ryan Reynolds has been heavily typecast, but he plays that Deadpool-esque role very well indeed. Covid delayed its release so have been seeing trailers since mid-2020. Missed it when it was in cinemas, but it’s now dropped on Disney Plus...
