The main reason I spent more going for the Ionico was the lack of Thunderbolt, because Oculus Quest isn't compatible with it. Always seemed odd that their most expensive chassis didn't have it.
I see they're now taking orders for 11th gen Intel CPU laptops (although not on the gaming range yet) , so maybe the Ionico chassis will be upgraded appropriately before they go on sale again, presuming the first batch has gone? Complete speculation on my part, obviously.
I ordered mine about 10 days ago and have had the standard notifications that it wouldn't go into build until the last week of the month. I amended my order yesterday to include 5 day fast track build (£39), and this morning it's being built. Just something to think about if you're keen to get...
I'm no expert on these things whatsoever but I'm also buying an Ionico with VR in mind, and I know that as of yet, 30 series Gpus aren't supported by Oculus Link. Could it just be that the drivers haven't been developed yet?
