I genuinely couldn't tell you, I rarely used it. It was only used when I didn't want to lug the big PC about. Looking at the heatsink there wasn't even any dust on it since it was last cleaned, even the paste wasn't dry.
Bit of backstory: The laptop was working fine that I was aware of the day before it stopped, it wasn't even being taxed, just using it to view a PDF of some Lego instructions.
Next time I used it; nothing, the lights came on to say the laptop had power, but that was it, not even the caps lock...
Hi again, been a busy one for me over the years.
Just looking at fixing an issue I have with my laptop, hoping someone else has a little bit of input they could give me.
Basically my GPU isn't being cooled correctly, temperatures rarely go over 60, but I'm having a strange diagonal screen tear...
Ok, so I wasn't too happy with cooling recently so I decided to re-paste.
Everything seems ok so far, just wondered what a good temperature ranges for the CPU and GPU are.
Was doing some encodes yesterday running on full power from mains utilizing 100% CPU and the cooling was keeping the CPU...
Ok, I've now traced it down to the "Intel Chipset Drivers", this is the actual culprit for this frankly annoying issue.
Now here is the interesting bit: When a new update gets issued to either W10, or even new Nvidia drivers, it breaks the previous fix and causes all sort of nightmares...
I will give a rough guideline for getting W10 to run properly/remove issues.
To note:
Each Clevo laptop has it's own particular drivers, this is especially true for the mobo specific drivers: Hotkey and Chipset drivers, as these are modified from an original for it to work correctly on the...
Not having any problems with my wifi, but where on earth do I get them now? Luckily I managed to download the latest drivers late last year and that's it, can't find them any more.
Don't wanna sound all "preachy", but I'm beginning to see a lot of posts about laptops overheating.
Mostly the fact as soon as there are temperature issues, people are then cleaning them to rectify the issue. I'm afraid that as soon as you do get overheating issues the damage has already been...
Ok then guys, I'll leave this in your very capable hands:
Considering the Intel-N 135 DOES NOT work in my Optimus, which other card would give me absolutely NO hassle to use, (zero dropouts and whatnot?)
Considering:
Killer Network N 1202
Or the Intel Advanced-N 6300
Bear in mind I'm using a...
