Looked in BIOS but advanced only shows a limited amount of options; SATA mode Power on boot beep Battery low alarm beep Have they locked other options? Looks pretty basic to me 🤷‍♂️ Thanks

Wow what a great discussion and a lot of information to take in. I asked this question on here as a bit of a punt, but the knowledge you people have is amazing. I don't think anyone meant to come across as salty, I'm just grateful for the input. My level of understanding has greatly improved...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Laptop not allowing me to access the Nvidia Display/resolution settings only 3d settings

Interesting response, I think the thought is that laptops have moved on and there is more control, but this was as explained in the example video posted, for an old game so I suspect the quality would be acceptable for the gains. With newer games maybe not, but thanks for the input 😁

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Laptop not allowing me to access the Nvidia Display/resolution settings only 3d settings

Choosing the manage 3D Settings/ "Global Settings" doesn't allow me to do anything different, I have been on 2 different laptops and the same results. And unfortunately @Alltruism suggestion of "3D settings and enable some higher resolutions under "DSR Factors". I cannot see within the Nvidia...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Laptop not allowing me to access the Nvidia Display/resolution settings only 3d settings

Thanks for responding. So if I can clarify. If I right click on the desktop I can go to the nvidia control panel, this control panel only displays 3d settings, it should allow me to access all settings on the nvidia control panel? The attached below shows what I should see, but I only see 3d...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Laptop not allowing me to access the Nvidia Display/resolution settings only 3d settings

Thank you for a response, but I believe you are incorrect "To enable the Nvidia all the time, you just select the Nvidia card in the Nvidia control panel." yes you can but this doesn't seem to allow you to access the "nvidia" display/resolution settings because the integrated GPU controls that...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Laptop not allowing me to access the Nvidia Display/resolution settings only 3d settings

For info. So in essence, because there is an integrated Intel Gpu in the laptop built by PC Specialists, the Nvidia GPU is really just a secondary display GPU and so there is much functionality removed! I think PC Specialists should be pointing this out to there customers, if they are still...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Laptop not allowing me to access the Nvidia Display/resolution settings only 3d settings

Ok, I know by reading on other forums that because the intel GPU is integrated, the Nvidia GPU is only used for heavier processing, like games, photoshop, cad apps.... I'm trying to trick the laptop into custom changing the display resolution so I see more on the screen, This is possible with...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Great student laptop, the Comos V1 17.3" Intel core h-series

I needed a laptop for university and having looked at the usual suspects (mac) and finding how ridiculously expensive they were, decided to take my dad's advice (3) checked out the pc specialist site. The laptops and reviews were really good. I needed a fast laptop, with extra customisation...
