Nvm i think it's just i was downloading an older version and that was corrupt. Msinfo32 says n85_n87 hj hj1 hk1, think i've got the right one.

the control center rar file is corrupted and I cant install, any idea for a workaround?

Yeah but right now it just seems like a connectivity issue with the keyboard at least so I can rule out having to pay parts for that, I'll tighten up screws and see what happens. as for trackpad, that might need a new part

Okay did the custom install, it didn't fix the issue. What i have realised is that when i press on the top right of the trackpad, the letters work again so I'm thinking it's a connectivity issue. This means that there will be no repair costs in installing new parts right? And I won't be charged...

When i mentioned before I did a reinstall but it wasn't from a USB boot, it was just running the media tool/creating a virtual boot drive and then installed windows and deleted the old one. But what I'm also thinking is I've put the battery in now and before it wasn't in so maybe something to do...

Thanks, also just noticed, my keyboard is working now? I have no idea why as after I did the reinstall it didnt work but I just went on a keyboard test website and it worked fine, however, trackpad issue still remains

What key is it to go to boot menu? Turned laptop off and on and mashed f1 f2 esc f8 and f12 and none of them worked? Maybe because I'm doing it via external keyboard it isnt connected in time? I tried via laptop too but maybe because some keys aren't working it won't let me?
