Understood, I'll keep this thread around for future reference, and will come back for further advice when I am ready to put down a deposit on a configuration. All the same, I fully appreciate your time. Thanks again!

I also saved your config as a quote, with 3080 instead of 3080 Ti, which puts the price comfortably under £3000. Good setup overall, I didn't even look at the config for the Wireless Network Card, so I am very grateful you're on top of this stuff. I appreciate it

Ahh yeah I remember the crypto mining situation was mentioned on a podcast I watched recently. Fair dos. I can happily wait for the 3080 to be back in stock anyway; I am still saving over the next few months for an initial deposit. And it looks like I'll also be saving for a somewhat decent...

Think I will perhaps just wait for 3080 availability as well, per your advice.

I posted the above before seeing your suggestion for the monitor. Appreciate your suggestion, will look into that!

Thanks for your suggestions! I will bring this into consideration when it comes to my final config. Can you advise on the GPU itself? Do you think I'm needlessly holding onto a 3080 ti when other GPUs would be perfectly acceptable? I'd go for a 3080 if they are available at the time of ordering...

I could stretch to £3,700. I appreciate that's not much different from my initial budget, but I'm happy with whatever you suggest in the end.

Appreciate it, but I might just get a single decent 4k monitor even if just to keep the 3080ti, which I want to have as future-proofing. I could probs stretch my budget a little further anyway.

Yikes I should have thought of that, I get where you're coming from. I ought to just go for one single UHD monitor hitting a 144hz refresh rate I suppose. Probably won't choose something a lot more in price than those two monitors I had on the config originally though, even if it is only...

Aha ahaha funny you should ask, I have no other monitors, this is my first actual desktop. I went to uni before this so my computer affordability really was just limited to laptops before now. Why's that? Do you think I should go for a better single monitor rather than the 2 I have on the config...
