PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Latite Pro - in detail!

I ran it this afternoon with screen on but not doing much processing and it lost 10% battery per hour. Obviously the battery will drain faster when doing more processing or watching videos etc.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Latite Pro - in detail!

Hi AMacG, You should have no concerns on this at all. Windows 10 is pre-installed (assuming you order this) and is ready for you right away (you have to go through the normal personalisation of course). In fact, because PCS don't bundle loads of other bloatware the experience is simpler and...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Latite Pro - in detail!

Update: Five weeks from delivery and I'm still working with PCS support to get the Dell docking station properly working with the laptop. At present, the dock only works if I supply power to the laptop separately.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Latite Pro - in detail!

--- Continued from main post --- Physical design Port-wise, conveniently there’s a USB type A on each side. However, you have to look very closely at the engravings in the LHS of the case to distinguish the USB C port from the Thunderbolt port for the first time. Also annoying, is that when you...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Latite Pro - in detail!

This is an end-to-end account of my new 15.6" LAFITE PRO purchase written around 10 days after delivery. (Full spec below.) It’s my fourth PCS purchase but the first time I ever bought a laptop for myself. My main usage is “office” apps and my selection criteria was that I wanted a laptop that...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Getting the Lafite Pro to work with a docking station

I spoke too soon. Having worked fine yesterday evening, my PCS laptop now disconnects from the display after a minute or so. Power cycling everything seems to get it back temporarily. I did once see a warning triangle against UCM-UCSI ACPI Device in Device Manager, but that seems to be OK right...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Getting the Lafite Pro to work with a docking station

Conversely, the Dell D6000 dock I'm using is USB-C. It's early days for me, but it seems to be compatible with the PCS Lafite's Thunderbolt 4 port.

I have now and the problem's sorted. (Not sure why I didn't think of that myself.) Thanks!

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Getting the Lafite Pro to work with a docking station

My new Lafite Pro arrived yesterday. :) But I'm struggling to connect it to my Dell D6000 dock. :( The D6000 dock has USB -C (inc power delivery) and works fine with my Latitude 5400. When I plug the D6000 docking cable into the Thunderbolt 4 socket in the laptop without the mains power cable...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Where is the Download documentation?

Whilst I agree, this isn't always the case. I bought a PCS Initia for a family member last year and the keyboard backlight control panel wasn't installed on delivery.

Thanks for the info. I bet that issue has led some on a merry dance!

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Where is the Download documentation?

New laptop arriving today (Lafite Pro) so I thought I'd do things properly and look at the Download section of the PCS website for my purchase. I found 13 downloads, the majority look like drivers that I assume are already loaded. There's a curious one called W10_Numlock_fix.zip containing one...
