I want a silent pc for music recording and production.

Is this gonna be ok? Or do you have any suggestions?

Coolermaster Sileo 500 case
Intel i5 750
4gb corsair ddr3 1600mhz
1gb readeon passive 5450 graphics card
corsair 750w tx750 power supply ultra quiet
super quiet 22dba triple copper heatpipe processor cooler
running on windows 7 home

i'm not worried about hard disk noise so much, just fans and cooling.

Would really appreciate so thoughts and advice.

Many thanks,
FP

Hello Faintpariah,

Welcome to the forums!

That spec is 100% spot on and about as silent a pc as we can produce, it will be whisper quiet.

You could even afford to drop the PSU to a Corsair 650W to bring the budget down.

The only reason for going for a 750w psu was someone told me that if it doesn't have to work hard, then the quieter it is. But that is very reassuring. Thank-you!

The only thing that I would like to add to the spec is a dvd drive with lightscribe. Is there any chance that this can be included? It's not a deal-breaker by any means, but it would be great

At the moment we don't offer any drives with Light-scribe, however our ordering system is very flexible and you could always source the drive separately and order the main machine without.
