Not unless I select 240Hz on the monitor first, and as soon as I do that. Black Screen :(
Only thing I can do after the black screen is hard-reset and reset monitor to factory settings otherwise I boot up to an immediate black screen.
Tried with hotfix driver again and same issues, I don't really get a chance to select anything because when I go into the monitor settings and select 240Hz I get the black screen and my PC locks up. I have to reset monitor to default to get it to come back on (at 120Hz) :( booo.
The 30xx cards will probably fit in assuming your dimensions are correct (for example the Founders 3080 is reportedly 285mm x 112mm) - but to be sure you'd need to consider what card you're looking to get and compare its dimensions as non founders cards WILL be different sizes.
I really don't think and wouldn't expect that we would get the code till release day (or close to release day). In any pre-orders before I've never received a code prior to release. Steam (and maybe others) have allowed pre-orders which add it to your library (and just not let you install it...
Hi @ArchiA I've moved your post to a more relevant section of the forum.
I'm not sure about a £550 system, maybe someone else can comment but if you can stretch to around £800 (appreciate its quite a hike) there are some good examples here...
I tried it with the hotfix driver and it just gave me a black screen same as the other drivers.
Using DDU between to clean install each update so no conflicts there.
Will try again tomorrow evening, away from the computer now - cheers for the assistance 👍👍 will get there eventually I’m sure!
So I hadn't enabled 240Hz on the monitor.
But tried that and.. sadly.. black screen still :( Had to reset the monitor to get it to turn back on :( boo woe is me.
Super chuffed (and a little jealous) that you've got it to work @Jamie85 ;)
Call me a fanboy if you like but, who's to say 'team red's' launch will be any better? I do hope it is though, because nVidia's 3xxx launch was a bit of a shambles and more competition is just a good thing for consumers in general!
No idea when the cards will be available for pre-order but from...
@SAMWAC what is your budget? what is the PC for? How much did the above spec come too? Can you include the configurable link? See below for guidance.
@BenC if its a hardware issue there won't be much anyone other than PCS can do (appreciate you know that already :)) - Maybe others here would be more willing but I'd be hesitant to suggest much to try really -
Does the power plug/socket connection seem solid still or is there excessive play...
@iWilpowerr If I started having intermittent issues like this I'd probably try a windows refresh then see if the issues continued. If it was the windows update, there's a reasonable chance this might be the case (especially if you just upgraded windows rather than doing a clean install)
@maximees Can you please post the full spec including configurable link and tell us your budget/etc. See below for some guidance.
Going full nerd here (and you should never go full nerd) but its not a board game :) its a paper/dice RPG - kinda similar to Pathfinder/Dungeons and Dragons.
I'm actually playing it with a group of friends via Roll20 at the moment (we're playing Cyberpunk 2020 1st Ed rather than any subsequent...
@Mdreamz there's some good advice here: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/desktop-building-guide-sept-2020.67892/
If you're ok waiting a little while you can look at the new AMD processors which should be beasts.
