Does he need 32GB of RAM for the system? If he's just gaming, it's not really necessary. Flight simulators might get some use out of it, but that's pretty much the only genre. And it's generally not advisable to mix and match RAM sticks. It can often lead to system instability and worse...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Gaming PC build

Yeah, the Samsung needs a fair bit of desk space! The cooling will be fine, I matched up the right motherboard and cooler to go with the CPU, and the case is good for airflow. Unless you're keeping it in a sealed box, there's no cause for concern on that front (y)

So, the idea of the two M.2 drives is that you've got the smaller, fastest one possible as your boot drive, ideally just your OS and programs on there. That way it won't get clogged up and slow down. With that drive, your PC should be at your home screen within about 8 seconds of hitting the...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST My Beast Gaming Rig???

Motherboard and cooler are both insufficient for the CPU. PSU is low quality. And the GPU is last gen AMD which is notorious for having driver issues, occasionally leaving them as expensive bricks.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Making order - does it look ok?

You're welcome! Exactly! When you're ready to make the move to 1440p/4K, you get the new monitor and GPU to pair it with. This is also why we recommend going over what the configurator recommends for your power supply unit. It gives you that headroom you'll need. FreeSync uses the video card’s...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Making order - does it look ok?

It just won't be as sharp. You can use scaling to improve the image but 1080p looks better on a 1080p monitor than playing at 1080p on a 1440p monitor. The native resolution will always be more visually appealing.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Gaming machine spec for MSFS2020 (Ultra mode)

Okay, I'll refresh the spec with the RAM removed and the second M.2 added. The reason for a higher spec PSU is to allow you headroom to upgrade in future (if you want a 4000 series Nvidia card in a few years and they turn out to be power hungry!) and also that if your power supply isn't having...

It doesn’t look like a particularly good case for airflow to me, I’d avoid it.
