I'm looking to upgrade my RAM from 8 to 16 on my old PCS CosmoII and I'm not quite sure it will work.
Currently have 2x4gb hyper-x genesis 1600mhz DDR3L 204pin
Motherboard is a Clevo w650sh, Intel HM86 i4700MQ
I think I've identified that I can upgrade to 2x8gb hyper-x impact 1600mhz...
I've been trying to install a game, the process gets halfway through, then stops asking for a file location, its actually because the CD-Drive has disappeared mid-install.

Trying to get me holiday snaps onto me shiny new PC, however.....
Windows doesn't identify a card in the slot, no autorun popups, nothing in My Computer either. I have tried other cards and they all work on other machines.
1) I can't see the device connected in 'device manager', in case...
I keep accidentally hitting the sleep button when I'm trying to mute or change volume. And of course it interrupts any full screen program I'm running causing hangs or crashes if I'm gaming.
I have the CosmoII and the function keys run
Fn+F3 - Mute
Fn+F4 - Sleep
Fn+F5 - Vol up
Fn+F6 - Vol down...
