Hey,
Just a (very late) update to all this...
The support team were incredibly helpful, and after a session on the phone they remote logged in and between us we got everything sorted. Really helpful, very friendly guys on the other end of the phone.
Six months in now, I have zero problems...
The SATA is listed as Primary, I thought that the M2 would have been?
I have to leave this and go to work now, so I'll pick this up later.
Thanks fo the help, everyone.
Hi,
My PC is here and I could really do with some help with the Windows install.
I Have my USB with Windows 10, new PC is all plugged in and on screen, but the list of partitions is confusing the hell out of me.
This is what's listed...
Which of these partitions do I delete, before...
Ordered just now!
Went for a slightly larger 2nd hard drive (why not) but otherwise took Mr SpyderTracks advice.
Thanks again to all who helped out.(y)
Can't wait!
This is the license I have (from the invoice for my current PC) and it's since been upgraded to Windows 10 Home...
"OEM - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1 Pack Service"
Will that be fine to use, once linked to my Microsoft account?
I've dug out the details of my current PC and it turns out I only have a non-transferable OEM licence for Windows, so I'll just buy it again.
No big deal, and thanks for the help anyhow. (y)
Fantastic. I won't lie, I liked the idea of a completely ready PC arriving at my door, but I think I can manage this without ruining anything and the cash saving is well worth it.
You've been incredibly helpful, thank you. I'm going to try and get the USB ready so I can get the PC ordered.
Oh great, thanks for the clarification. I assume you just choose which drive when installing from the Windows 10 USB ( I did say I'm a rookie at all this, despite my age 😆).
Thanks again. I'll order that very soon.
Thanks, Spydertracks, That's just what I was looking for, much appreciated.
One quick question: Would the OS need to be installed on the SATA drive or the quicker M.1 SSD? Apologies if that's an idiotic question, but I'd assumed people were moving towards using SSD's as they are...
Thanks for the help, Nursemorph.
I went for the second SSD purely to try and keep it as quiet as possible. It's an area where my expertise is lacking, so I was going on the safe side. If everything else is going to be powerful enough to keep the noise down, perhaps It'd be fine with a standard...
Sorry, I should have added a link to reconfigure. This one is slightly over my budget, but I can't seem to get the exact same built again.
Here it is...

Again, any help would be much appreciated. My current PC is dying a noisy death and i'm VERY keen to hand someone money for a shiny new...
Hi,
I'm brand new on here, but i've seen nothing but great feedback for the service and this forum seems like an excellent way to find new customers and help out old/current ones.
I'm looking at replacing a 5 year old custom PC that has served me well but I fear is on death's door. I didn't...
