    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST VR capable PC

Oh that's good to hear; I didn't know that. There's no rush at all. Thanks.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST VR capable PC

Hi everyone. After ordering a PC from PCS back in May (and so far very happy with it), I find myself in the unenviable position of now considering a second PC for my son to use for VR and general gaming. I don't want to spend a fortune but budget £1500ish, with some flexibility. Would this...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Every week my order gets delayed.

I'd quite happily pay a bit more for someone to build it and have their warranty in place, of course. In the first instance, I was both paying them for it and the parts were costing less than they would do had I bought them direct, so that's even better. But that's not my issue; it's the lack of...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Every week my order gets delayed.

Well you'd think so, but at the time I ordered it was actually cheaper to buy the entire rig on here than build it myself, which is why I ordered it from PCS. Edit: yes, I do sell products.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Every week my order gets delayed.

To be honest, the above reply is the almost word-for-word response that I got about a week ago. I'm now on day 21 of pre production and it's no further forward. Twice I have contacted PCS, and gotten a different reason on both occasions; the first time it was "we have got everything but we're a...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Stock on pre-production order

I'm also on day 18 as of today. Similar spec to previous poster, but I have the 2080Ti, which is apparently the only thing they're waiting on coming into stock (as of yesterday) - this according to a request for an update from PCS. I modified my original order and had email contact from PCS...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Recommended me some monitors please?

I only recommended the 2070 Super because it has the three DP outputs and (I thought) the 1650 had three different outputs, but as I said, at the beginning, I don't really know computers these days ;) Perhaps I should stick to what I know best.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Recommended me some monitors please?

RTX 2070 Super has 3 x DP outputs. You could run two of the below off that. Ought to give enough screen space. 34" Samsung: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LS34J550WQUXEN-34-Inch-LED-Monitor/dp/B07J4CZYND/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=widescreen+monitor&qid=1592403241&sr=8-4 or 43" Samsung...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Simulation / VR Specification

I bought a Pixio PX7 Prime 27" in the end, now hanging off a monitor stand bolted to the desk; gave the LED Cinema display to my son and have the Pixio hooked up to my Mac via HDMI, with DP available for when the new PC arrives. Thanks for your help.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Recommended me some monitors please?

I'm not into sports trading, but I'd definitely go the widescreen route; two birds with one stone :)

What are you trading, out of interest? (sitting here trading DE30 as I type, waiting for a fill...)

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Recommended me some monitors please?

Even if it's automated (sounds like you may be running some algos given the milleseconds criteria?), that doesn't take a lot of computing power because a ton of it is server side usually. Don't get me wrong, I'm not averse to spending the cash for a system that's right, but as the previous...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Recommended me some monitors please?

I dont really know computers all that well these days, but that's well overspecced for trading; charts and trading software don't require huge resources. My day-to-day trading setup is an old Mac Mini i5, 16GB RAM, 250GB SSD and 2 x 27" monitors, connected via HDMI and Mini DisplayPort. Cost me...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Covid 19 has a lot of spending to answer for!

I'm intending to get a VR headset, maybe a Rift S - but I also have a Razer Orbweaver mech keyboard, and the keys on this are pretty easy to feel where they are, so I think if I need to I can use that for rudder and whatever else.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Covid 19 has a lot of spending to answer for!

Oddly, I found it again on the Thrustmaster website for only a bit more than I'd originally paid, so I've ordered it again on there as they have it in stock. I dont think I have a particular need for the rudder controls but we'll see. Certainly nothing like your motorised rig! :)

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Covid 19 has a lot of spending to answer for!

I didn't think pedals were essential with the warthog? At least not with DCS unless you're doing helicopters, maybe I'm mistaken. Anyway I had to cancel it this morning, due date was 4 June and they just changed it to 27 July...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Simulation / VR Specification

Budget isn't really an issue, but out of preference alone it would be three figures. I figure I can sell the LED display for £350-450 given their current price range on the usual sites, so that could fund a large part, if not all of it. Needs to be 27" minimum, and have both HDMI for my Macbook...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Covid 19 has a lot of spending to answer for!

Interesting setup. I just ordered a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog throttle/joystick setup to run DCS when the new PC arrives, but that motorised seat setup looks pretty awesome.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Simulation / VR Specification

I went with the additional drive in the end; thanks for that. One thing I don't think anyone touched on was my monitor setup. I've an aging Apple 27" LED Cinema Display which will connect via an adapter, but is this going to be sufficient with this kind of graphics card or will I need...

Good to know; thanks once again. I think I'll go ahead and make the changes you have recommended. Much appreciated.
