PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Laptop for MS Flight Sim

OR this is the AMD version.. with Ryzen 9. Bit overkill, but it's the only CPU they do. Looking at benchmarks too on the forum this laptop seems to have better cooling than the one above. PCSPECIALIST.CO.UK SPECIFICATION The specification below has been formatted so you can easily copy and...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Laptop for MS Flight Sim

Hi all, I'm looking at laptops as I just don't have space anymore for my PC (in the process of selling my 2 year old PCSpecialist PC) so I basically just need a laptop that will run MS flight sim decently. Please let me know your thoughts. Chassis & Display Ionico Series: 17.3" Matte QHD...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Loud bang from PSU

Hi all, so this morning I was working at my PC and I heard a loud bang and the wiring circuit went down. Originally I thought it was one of the wall sockets, but after removing the plugs and testing, I realised it was my PC! as when I turned it back on, it made the same loud bang again. My PC...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

Yeah either one, I have a palit 2070s and it's brilliant.. can't fault it. PCS do sell other brands i.e. Asus but you have to pay more and are generally right at the bottom of the gpu list when you scroll.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST NVidia 3000 series confirmed details

Damn.. think I may just get away with a 650 PSU. I've calculated it uses 259w without a gpu so that + 3080 will come just under (I don't OC anything) Although I'm not sure what it's meant about this 2x8 pin stuff? I currently have a 8pin and 6 pin for 2070s

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST RAM Upgrade

Yeah...the heatsink itself is nice and slim, but the fan they have on the side is quite 120mm (or slightly bigger) I believe and it cuts into the height of the ram slot ever so slightly.. Even if there was clearance, it would still mean removing the cooler.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST RAM Upgrade

Specs are below. Initially that was my thought, however as I have the noctua cooler, it blocks the ram slot closest to it so it wouldn't fit 4 unfortunately. Processor (CPU) AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Six Core CPU (3.6GHz-4.2GHz/36MB CACHE/AM4) Motherboard ASUS® PRIME B450-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.1...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Audio flickering

Hi guys, I have a pair of logitech speakers connected to the PC which work fine, however when I turn on my BT headphones and connect to the PC the sound on the bottom right hand corner will keep flickering between the monitor sound (the monitor doesn't have speakers) and the PC's default sound...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Homeplugs

I went ahead and purchased the slightly cheaper variation of the TP powerlinks, which only have the wired connection and no wireless and I didn't feel like I would have benefited from that. So, my router is upstairs tucked away in a cupboard and my PC is downstairs. Now, on a good day (using...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PS5 and XBox Series X

I have to agree, £450-£500 seems a bit low, especially considering the tech that's gone into them. I wouldn't be surprised if they are close to £700, or the other aspect is having a £500 ish price tag and making the games a lot more expensive, as if £50 wasn't enough.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PS5 and XBox Series X

Your PC should be able to handle playing and streaming. I have tried it and it was okay for me, same with playing and recording :) Obvs depends on how much CPU usage next gen games will take.. but I highly doubt it'll be much more than what we're currently seeing on AAA titles.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PS5 and XBox Series X

What CPU/GPU do you have? I'm hoping 6 cores from 5 3600 perspective will be enough and RTX 2070 super.. but who knows. Perhaps people will be getting the new nvidia cards a lot sooner :P

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST PS5 and XBox Series X

So I'm sure some of you have seen the spec release of the next gen consoles, what are your thoughts? There's people on forums with fairly high-end PC's saying their rig is now redundant in terms of "top" gaming I'm still love consoles and will always buy the PS, mainly because I've had them...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Which SSD?

Literally 90% games, and 10% (but really depending on the amount of files) is 4k video editing. I still have about 200gb free, but don't fancy deleting any games either. Most of the games that I'm downloading are over 100+GB Warzone, RDR2, PC2, Metro etc

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Which SSD?

Any particular SSD that's better than the other or does it not matter? the two that I'm looking at are Crucial and Samsung (linked below) the Samsung is £60 more expensive, but looking at the read/write times, they are very similar. I'm looking at the 2TB versions...
