Hi, im sure this has been done before but i cant find a solution!
i switched off the backlights on my keyboard some months ago! via the gaming centre! however i just went to turn them back on and the option disappeared from the gaming centre...
i uninstalled gaming centre and then reinstalled...
i am in the process of getting the gaming center again from pcs support! however, last time i installed it , the page to change the lighting was blank! im hoping this time it works...but not holding my breath! i have a bluetooth keyboard that aids me to use it for now, but i too want it fixed...
thats how it started with me too! the random letter pressing made me think it was behaving like it had a virus! so i downloaded the microsoft safety scanner, whilst the machine went absolutely bonkers, screens popping up, random letter pressing, cap locks on off all the time, its started to...
no, right now i have no command center, not able to type using the keyboard and no backlighting! when i go into the BIOS it shows the options you get from the command center, rainbow, wave etc but thats it... i select one, save it , restart and still no go..
yes i was aware it was a dating error! somehow they were on my laptop! i didnt add them myself so somehow they got onboard! maybe it was driver booster, but even then you have to select the updates you want so im not sure how they got onboard! anyways ive done the clean install of windows 10...

thats where i have a problem, i bought this machine in march from the woman whom first bought it! so she has a buyers account and liaised with pc specialist in order for me to get the download link in the first place...so no, i have no access to those, unfortunately...
in July this year, i was sent the link...wasnt sure about deleting the partitions, everyone one i selected threw up a warning, about losing manufacturer drivers..so i have to delete all and install again? hmmm...try that tomorrow, thanks for your help...
i created a usb too boot off using this method, followed it all the way through apart from deleting the partitions! cortana talked me through some of the way, then it was all prompting and self explanatory from there...

i have nothing, no keyboard functioning nor any backlights....went dodgy on me when i had to update several drivers...i use driver booster, it recommended several updates, which all went in ok, but then suddenly no keyboard... i thought id fixed it last night when i update to the latest windows...
