I'll be honest mate my level of understanding is virtually 0 when it comes to this stuff, don't even know what a CMOS battery is let alone where to find one or remove it. Is it strange that the beeps say it's that fault but the pc always displays the correct time etc??

I understand that, but the beeps are fast it's difficult to tell exactly how many there are. I've never heard a bios beep other than the normal single beep before, so I don't exactly know what I'm listening for

Just to confirm, it's 4-5 very fast beeps followed by one beep (this beep being what id normally expect to hear turning a pc on)

Yup pc still boots and mostly seems to work ok, games crash a lot though, things don't feel quite as fluid as I thought they would be just in windows, sometimes it won't open applications like gpu tweak (I used a different profile that was less load on the gpu to try and help with the crashes)...
