The max I am willing to spend on the system is around £1800 (not including the monitor).
Monitor: MSI Optix G27CQ4 curved gaming monitor. (2560 x 1440, 165Hz, 1ms response time)

Thanks.
Just wondering if the extra cost of the 3070 is worth it over the 3060ti for gaming? Thanks.

I would be playing games such as Destiny, Elite Dangerous possibly Battlefield 5 those would probably be the most demanding games I play. Budged would be around £1000-£1200. I basically just play games and watch YouTube on pc's.
I've seen some examples on YouTube and the difference in fps seems negligible? So i'm wondering what the Ryzen 5 offers for the higher price? ( CPU would be paired with a GTX 1080, 16gb 3200Mhz RAM)
Thanks for the reply, I think ill just stick with the 970 for the moment. I've been looking at replacing the i7-9700 with a AMD Ryzen 5 3600X and changing the motherboard to an ASUS Prime A320M Micro however, I don't know if this will negatively effect the performance or if a GTX 970 GPU would...
I already have the graphics card I plan on using (Nvidia GTX 970) Also I'm wondering if the cooling will be enough?
