PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Vyper 17.3" and VR

Maybe there was a fault with the device then, as nothing worked... Turns out finding VR tech here is a bit of a nightmare, as well. Damn supply and demand logic - turns out a population of 5 million doesn't supply much demand! 😛

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Vyper 17.3" and VR

That may just be because I'm in New Zealand now...but here's a screen of the message I got: As for the USB-C going into my Intel UHD card and not the RTX, I found an article saying to look on my Nvidia control panel, then the 'Configure surround, PhysX' tab, and look at the image: My laptop...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Vyper 17.3" and VR

I can't at the moment, but will do ASAP. I could be off the mark, but that's what I'm seeing. However, there's clearly an issue with the reverb g2, as hp 'doesn't support it any more' according to their site, and the place I bought it off has a 50/50 success ratio with it, and is refunding me for it

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Vyper 17.3" and VR

The adaptor is a thunderbolt 3 to DP cable. But I don't think that's my problem. On inspecting the Nvidia control panel, it looks like my USB-c/Thunderbolt 3 is wired to the Intel UHD graphics card, not the RTX 2070. Which basically means I bought a super expensive paper weight... Ah well...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Vyper 17.3" and VR

The vyper has a usb-c port with the thunderbolt logo next to it, which I hope leads straight to the gpu. I've got a dp to USB-c thunderbolt adaptor, but when I plug it in it says there's an unrecognised USB plugged in... Next step is to try make sure the USB drivers are up to date, just...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Vyper 17.3" and VR

Hey folks, I bought a vyper 17.3 with an RTX 2070 so I could use it with a VR headset. I then bought a HP Reverb G2, but have hit a massive snag. I had no idea about display port (rookie error on my part), but thought I'd be able to use an adaptor to repurpose the thunderbolt usb-c to handle...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Vyper 17.3" Backlit Keyboard - can you change the colours?

Hey all, I've just got a new Vyper 17 inch laptop, which has been really good so far, but I was wondering if there's a way to change the colours of the backlit keyboard? As much as I like the rainbow effect, I'd prefer a solid colour...Haven't been able to find the software on the laptop to...

Thanks for that Nursemorph, I'll have a look at the other drives instead of the Intel one :)

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Is this Vyper 17" mid-range gaming and work station OK?

Hey there, wondering if I could get a sense check on my build here. I'm wanting it for a mid-range gaming laptop and also as a work station. The 2nd SSD will be my windows boot drive, with a separate SSD (the 1Tb) that'll hold the majority of my games and files. I went for the 2x16Gb Ram to...
