Thanks Spyder. Maya says it is actually using the geforce GPU. In fact it doesn't give me the option to use the CPU strangely. Still doesn't raise the temperature above 47 degrees even on an intensive render. Just installed Unreal Engine and that got the GPU's attention for sure. Fans wurring...
Hi there,
Just got my new PC this weekend. Had lots of issues with it. At first it wouldn't start (1 long beep proceeded by 3 short beeps). After about 4 attempts and pushing at some connectors I managed to get it working. Then I couldn't get windows to shut it down or go in to sleep mode...
I didn't. I ordered an Nvidia. Now my machine has arrived and I see that it's a Gigabyte 3080 not an Nvidia 3080. Just wanted to know if there is a difference in performance?
Helllo,
I have a worksation currently being built and was wondering what would be a good temperature monitoring software to use? I have a Ryzen threadripper 24 cores CPU and a 3080 Geforce 10GB graphics card.
Thanks Spyder.
I am thinking of upgrading the RAM from 8GB Modules to 16GB as per Scott's suggestion. Are they larger than the 8GB and therefore a potential space problem with a top mounted radiator? Also, do you agree that the speed difference (3200MHz vs 3600MHz) is not really noticeable...
Hi Spyder,
Just following up on your recommendation for upgrading the case, In your opinion,, with the case I selected (Lian LI Lancool 215)
do you think the system would run the risk of over heating?
Cheers
Mike.
Hi Spyder,
Thanks for that. All great info!
I'm glad you brought up the case. Which one would you recommend? I'm really not fussed about flashing RGB lights, and personally I'd rather not have them or a glass side, but options are severely limited without them.
I agree with you about Windows...
