PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST First custom PC! Would love any opinions/ advice from experienced pc users!

5800X creates a lot of heat. Main reason is that X570 motherboard can support that better than B550. There are few other advantages too.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Are you getting vaccinated?

Very good. These type of reactions show that a vaccine did its job.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST First custom PC! Would love any opinions/ advice from experienced pc users!

Welcome! For streaming I recommend 5800X over 5600X. But this would require a better cooler and a better motherboard. PSU 650W seems too low, better at least 850W. Don't know why you picked 3060 Ti - it's overkill for a 1080p monitor. Pick 2060 or 3060.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST My first gaming PC

If you don't have a particular reason for Intel, I'd be going with AMD as they're much better these days. Regarding prices - nothing can be done at the moment - it's a global issue. We should be happy that we still have supply. https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/amd-vs-intel.72675/

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST First ever custom build!

Ah sorry, I don't read long comments, too hot for my brain to cope 😅 You don't loose anything with arctic. The build overall is a quality build. You should be happy with it. I would just not use Chrome every day - it's not good for your data. It sucks all of your browsing history and uses for...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST First ever custom build!

I would drop arctic thermal paste. Elite Capellix comes with already good quality applied paste. Getting an arctic means literally wasting a good Corsair paste and reapplying the arctic one with a slight risk it to be applied improperly.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Checking build + question about difficulty to disassemble

Oh No no nO. Windows test version isn't designed to use like that. It would be stealing from already rich (hah). But seriously, get a Windows license ;) Notice that 4TB is 5400RPM while 2TB is 7200RPM. That's a speed of how fast a disk spin (write and read data). Higher RPM number = faster...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Checking build + question about difficulty to disassemble

I'd increase a budget. 1500 with nowadays prices is average. If you want to invest, do it properly. Start with 1440p monitor. Then follow the above from Bigfoot.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Broadband speed and price

Irish broadband providers are crap and expensive :( Irish is a modern country, but in many services still behind and looking more like a rural country. And that's ironic, as there are big IT companies here, such as, Facebook, ebay, Microsoft, Google, TikTok etc. My area has just a few options...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST General build questions

Most likely, Zotac, sometimes Palit. Gigabyte is too expensive to randomly give away.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST FedEx being weird

How many working days your item is on hold with customs from the moment it got into status Waiting for Clearance or something along these lines? Up to 7 working days is normal and don't even need to escalate. Sometimes escalation slow down the item's movements and delivery gets delayed further...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST An all round Intel PC (Future-proofing)

What monitor and how many of then would you be pairing this PC with? And when would you be upgrading a monitor? Extra thermal paste is not necessary. Preapplied paste with H115i is very good.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Case Opinions?

Best if you ask about a case leting up know of your full specs first. Sometimes same case can be overkill while the other time it could be a spot on. Your budget, PC uses and a monitor? https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/how-to-post-your-specification-to-the-forum-check-this-spec.73718/

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST First time buying a custom PC

Amd is currently the way to go. Stay away from Intel. If you get a 1440p monitor (and you basically need it now as there's no point buying a properly good PC and pair it with a 1080p 60Hz monitor), then 3070/6700 isn't overkill. If you're capped at 1700 budget, you'll need to cut the corners...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST First non-homebuild

Ideally, we would like to know a budget, monitor and uses as per above link. I'd avoid Intel, so this would be something I'd be happy to buy myself (except the case which I probably change, but that's more of a personal choice). Case PCS SPECTRUM RGB MID TOWER CASE (WHITE) Processor (CPU) AMD...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST 1st Desktop Gaming PC

Welcome ;) Are you sure x570-F is needed for 5600X? I'd pair it with B550 or X570 if you want to spend more. Why not taking a 5800X having this budget? Then X570-F and H115i would make sense. Just maybe PSU could be 850W or even 1000W having in mind of you hungry GPU and possible future...
