So I just got a new PC with a 3090 and a 5950x and the first game I wanted to play was flight sim, now I can get through all the splash screens at the start but once it gets to the landmark image it immediately crashes back to steam so I can’t download the rest of the game. So with delivery say for example It was dispatched today would you only be able to get it tomorrow if you have the Saturday delivery? Would picking the most expensive shipping which is Monday-Friday before 10:30 not convert even though they ship with next day delivery?

So I got off live chat and they said a power button issue is holding up my order. What would be the cause of that, simply the case being a bust or a power supply? I had a look and everything seems to be in stock apart from the motherboard so hopefully the issue is minor.

I thought pre production was a hard wait it’s actually the in building message that’s driving me crazy. It’s been in building since the 8th I’m not sure why it’s taking so long

I assume this is for the whole 3000 series and not just the 3080?

So I just talked to lI’ve chat and they said they didn’t get the 5950x with the last order they had and there is no ETA on when they will have them :( shame as he said it’s the only thing holding back my order

Question becomes is it worth the potentially 2+ months wait or swap to something like a 3950x?

This thing will be 99.9% gaming so yeah and I mean just because I can throw money at it doesn’t mean I should, I’d rather have optimal performance over long periods. Thanks for all the help I appreciate it, will amend my order then it’s up to the gods when it’s built.

Thanks for this appreciate it. One more question is there any reason for a 5900x over a 5950x? If I’m reading it right Is higher base clock more beneficial than more cores?

Only reason I say no water cooling is that I have absolutely no experience or knowledge of the matter, for example does it ever need replacing or refilled? potentially stupid questions I know but that’s how much I don’t know
