Thanks BHUNA50. Just wondering if you know whether it is essential to have a second HD for windows etc now-a-days? I know previously two SSDs were needed, I'm just unsure if the new processors / GFX cards have made that an outdated trend?
I guess the problem here is modern games tend to be fairly chunky. I think my current HD on my gaming laptop is 1TB and is running low. I'll have a look based on your advice.
Thanks again.
Posted as instructed :)
It's currently hovering around the 1.7k range, I'd preferably want to keep it under 2k
Predominantly it will be used for gaming, but I have used my prior game spec laptop for editing on photoshop etc.
Hi all,
Your feedback is very much appreciated!
A couple of things I'd be really keen to know:
Is there any way of tuning this up or stripping off unnecessary parts?
I'm not sure what the deal is now with having two SSDs with the new line of processors and GFX cards, is this still a necessity...

Thanks again, that'll be great in keeping me on the curve when making an informed decision. Given what you've both written above, it seems more prevalent to wait it out. I want this machine to see me through many a year to come with good performance, 1440p and a 17" screen. Perhaps the later...
Thanks again! I just had a look through. Shame to see the Ionico isn't compatible with the 3080. But there will likely be variants coming through shortly enough I'm sure!
Thanks so much for the feedback above. I heard tell on the NVIDIA stream that the next gen laptops shipping late Jan/early Feb were going to be 1440p and the new chipset would provide a stable 90+ FPS on Ultra with RT. It sounds like it might be better to wait for one of those and as you say...
Hi Folks,
Just looking for feedback on the following specs. I'm looking for this laptop to take me well into the future with gaming so am happy to be spending the £2k mark on it, but of course, if there are any unnecessaries you can spot, or things there that might not be quite so compatible -...
