PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST New build for photo/video editing

I would await for some input from the more experience users on this build before going any further There is no way you need 192GB RAM for Photoshop/Lightroom You will want to go for a smaller boot drive with a 2TB secondary M.2 for working projects etc. You don't need the Arctic extreme paste...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Unsure regarding compatibility and Windows 10

The familiarity from Windows 10 to 11 will take you 5 minutes, i did it a few months back, not sure why i held off for so long, no major differences that you will notice as a user apart from a few GUI changes, don't make it hard for yourself.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Subnet Mask Query - Why 255?

No downside to using 254 in the correct IP range, but as i say some devices may see it is illegal and refuse to take it if the first octet is 192 Class C IP's are designed for use in small LAN's so limited to 254 addresses by subnet mask, if you want to go wider and have no issues with devices...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Subnet Mask Query - Why 255?

It won't change the speed of anything (that you would notice) it just allows for more addressable IP's so if you need more than 254 addresses then just widen the subnet mask as you suggest. But it may depend on what IP class you are working with if you can actually use a 255.255.254.0 subnet...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST RAID0 showing only 1 drive space

Not sure if i'm missing something but it looks right to me, 2 x 2TB in RAID0 will give 3.7TB usable, which is what you have showing on Disk1 (E:) What does it show in My Computer?

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Primary use:Audio/DAW / Secondary use: Games/Video Editing

What do the UA cards do, just allow you to run their plug-ins on their dedicated hardware? Can you not just sack them off and run the plug-ins directly in your DAW if you already own them? Seems like they may have been useful years back when PC's were limited in processing but not now, unless...

PCSPECIALIST I'm fed up with Qnap and Synology!

Doesn't need to be a beast if its just TruNAS, but you don't mention what you are using docker for... PCS do 2U chassis, but you are going to need some way of expanding the SATA capabilities as most MB's won't support 20 HDD's so your no fancy PCI cards rule is straight out the window Have you...

PCSPECIALIST I'm fed up with Qnap and Synology!

You will struggle to find commercially available none specialist 1U chassis that will take 20 x HDD, would need to be 2U at minimum i would think.
