PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Fan Speed - 4000 Rpm

Good Morning, Question about the fan speed I seem to have shown, is this likely an error or cooling pump speed? Seems too high for either... 2 x 120 case fans plus the Corsair Hydro H100x 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler Thoughts? Thanks

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Work PC - Solidworks/CAD

Hi Steve, Looks spot on, thanks! Just looked into Semi-Modular vs Modular PSU, Modular is definitely preferable! I take it with that set up, adding extra case fans isn't really needed now, the 1 at the front and rear will be fine? Cheers, DS

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Work PC - Solidworks/CAD

Hi Folks, I posted a Gaming Build on here and got a great repsonse so I thought I would check my work PC build before pulling the trigger. I tweaked the storage based on information I got when asking about the Gaming build. I don't really do any rendering (but can now), but I do occasionally...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Gaming PC - First Build

Thanks, I think I've been underestimating how fast the "slow" drives actually are for the likes of games etc

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Gaming PC - First Build

Ah right I see, hence 500gb being plenty for that drive. Magic thanks for clearing that up :) That sounds ideal then, be nice to get away from the Xbox ones S! I have a HP Elitebook 8770w (general use, no gaming, fitted a Samsung SSD which made a nice difference, surprisingly quick for the age...

PCSPECIALIST Dual monitors setup for CAD

The RTX 4000 is a cracking piece of kit. If I could pry the wallet out of my directors hands, that's the card I would have. It is a bit overkill for what I need... but overkill isn't always a bad thing lol.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Gaming PC - First Build

Hi Martin, Thanks for the build update, another great combination! Hit the budge on the nose again also. I'll have a look over it tonight and look to get either of the two build updates ordered. The longer I wait the more change somethings going to end up out of stock or on a massive lead...

Nice one! Thanks. Ah ok cool that makes sense. So Games and Applications on the Fast drive, and any videos, music etc on the second drive. The PC will mainly be used for gaming Warzone FPS games, and possibly Sim Racing in the future along with some basic music production and some video...

PCSPECIALIST Dual monitors setup for CAD

I think there are some semi awkward work around, but they looked more hassle than they are worth, also our reseller won't/can't help if we don't use certified GPUs apparently. A lower spec second PC was built in October last year funnily enough, it has a 1080 ti graphics card and the RealView...

PCSPECIALIST Dual monitors setup for CAD

Nice one the W5700 is a solid card and should work well. That was the one I was initially looking at but it put me over budget for my work build. I've not got the PNY RTX A2000 Nvidia Card, its around £450 and in stock released this month, has 3328 cores but only 6gb, seems pretty solid and may...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Gaming PC - First Build

Hey, I've edited the posted and added the link, had a quick look at some posts and didn't see the links at the bottom so I left it out... in hindsight I have no idea why lol. Ah cool. wasn't sure about the Sound card. Same with the storage, I take it keep the boot drive for applications and put...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Gaming PC - First Build

Hey folks, Wanted to check if there was any glaring issues with my proposed build. (I'm currently building a workstation CAD pc which has different specs, fancier and faster). Does the below look ok? (I know PSU is a bit overkill, but for another £8 seemed daft seemed daft not to. I'll source...

PCSPECIALIST Dual monitors setup for CAD

For CAD software you want a Quadro or Radeon Pro card, Geforce and gaming cards are very poor with modelling software. Also, you will not be able to use Realview in Solidworks. Sorry to be that guy, but I'm currently building a work PC for CAD.
