Hi @SpyderTracks - appreciate the advise. I can't get it to boot sadly. Is it worth me removing the battery and seeing if it will power up direct from the mains? Or is it better to see if the new ac adaptor does the trick?

Thank you for the advice and help @Tron1982 . Oddly enough I was talking to a colleague that mentioned the 12th gen intel. I take it they are pretty dam good? I could wait at a push. I'll have to have a google and see when they are coming out. If it's too long I'll get the above.
