The saga continues. I asked PCS to deliver the PC using their before 10:30 service, which they agreed to - so at least I could go to do a day's work when it arrived, important when self-employed. Got a message at 10:00 ish from DPD saying it would be 15:34 to 16:34. Annoying as I lost a days...

So the RMA has been completed. Here's what PCS said: "We have completed our RMA repair of your system. During the testing phase we were able to isolate the fault to the a loose CPU Cable. Firstly, we re-seated all the core components including the Processor and Corsair cooler. We have installed...

Interesting about Armoury Crate and Bullguard. What security would you recommend over Bullguard or, as they are now, Norton?

That's exactly right. I wondered what you guys think it is, as an exercise and so other people might learn. I'm a total noobie - the likes of XMP and Q fan were a mystery 4 weeks ago. I'm not one for showing my gear off, but especially as at the moment it's £2K of wiring and lights. The 150i...

OK ta, I'll look into it. I'd like to have it repaired and up and running smoothly for a few weeks then maybe tinker with their assistance. As I say I'm brand new to all this.

All Win updates done till no more available. Ditto Nvidia. I literally switched it on and we were at 4700rpm. Win is on the 980 Pro.

OK, it's being collected today so PCS may well do that. I have my own reasons for Raid. I also have 2 external drives and cloud for my particular needs - I have something like 360GB of photos that must never be lost. Ever.

Sorry I hit return before I'd finished posting origionally and went in to edit. Asa - that's might have been what confused you. As far as I'm aware the pump can't be controlled either but does seem to work. I updated Win 11 till there were no more to do, ditto iCUE and Armoury Crate. No idea...

Why confusing? I thought it was clear? The cpu cooler fans are revving themselves silly with a cool cpu - where does the problem lie - firmware? build? And the boot up seems abnormally long - again, why? Is that normal? (seems not to me - I was expecting around 13 secs). Didn't want you to wade...

Yeah Thanks. Yeah, spec pretty much as above. I see what you mean above PCS not moving fans, so it will go in roof. I wasn't referring to overclocking - I've seem some stuff where the BIOS wasn't updated with new firmware (though not PCS, just vids) and I wondered if this was part of the QC. My...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Photoshop, LR, some gaming set up

Hi guys, Just a couple of questions before I pull the trigger on my new build. 1. I want to make sure that the H150i cpu cooler I have chosen gets mounted in the roof of the 5000D case - will help make sure air escapes from the pump to the rad. and is configured as Corsair state in their blurb...

Thanks for your feedback. Just a note that RGB is NOT a big deal at all for me. Great point about 2nd M2. PCS suggest I need a 650W psu (with a 20% margin) but I added an 850W. Interesting you suggest a 1000W. The Raid is only £55 extra with the 2nd HDD. That's a lot of piece of mind for...

Hi, My max budget is £2100. Mainly used for Photoshop and Lightroom (some but not a lot of video editing) and gaming, plus usual Excel/Word stuff and internet browsing/social media stuff. My monitor is a BenQ GW2765 60Hz. 2560 x 1440. Important: Speedy processing. Raid 1 for storing images (I...
