    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Why is £(2x16GB)/2 > £(1x16GB)?

I am trying to understand the price of RAM. Why is £(2x16GB)/2 > £(1x16GB) The upgrade prices are: 16GB hyperX IMPACT 2400MHz SODIMM DDR4 is £108.83 for (1x16), and £279 for (2x16) The configurator also shows the same kind of thing. (part HX424S141B/16) Why the extra ~£63? Is this for a...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Swollen battery recks brand new (in 2016) Macbook pro.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST The Octane 2 17.3", are there any owners? stock?

I have been eyeing up the 17.3" Octane 2 for some time. The i7 6700k is the only thing marked as pre-order only. But I see a post saying that the gtx 980m may not be available until January. This has me confused (easily done ). I selected the gtx 980 & i7 6700 and build time is stated as...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST 16gb ddr4 sticks?

I have been eyeing up the octanell 17". The spec states it can take 64GB with four slots. Does this mean 16GB sticks exist, or will soon? 'Only' 8 can be selected at the moment. Maybe I am being greedy, but give it a year and 64GB will be the minimum requirement for windoz. I tried googlin but...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Choosing a powerful cpu for a laptop

I am planning on purchasing an Octane 17 for gaming and number crunching. I am not sure which CPU to select; any advice gratefully recieved: (i7 4790 3.6GHz, 8Mb, 84W) or (i7 4790s 3.2GHz, 8Mb, 65w) 84w sounds a lot, will this be a bit hot? Would it be better to go for 65w? Maybe these numbers...
