    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Windows Update 1903

Thank you. It's difficult to know the purpose of the forum if it is not to help. My questions were only a follow-on from the previous contribution. However, I apologise profusely if I misunderstood.

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Windows Update 1903

    1. I'm pretty sure RAID is not enabled - but how do I check? 2. Not sure what you mean by 'MS have updated the update assistant to stop bypassing of the Intel RST error'. Do you mean it should no longer be blocking the update? Oh, do you mean your steps 2+3 update the update assistant - so that...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Windows Update

Thanks for the sad answer.... I think it can wait a few days to see whether MS do anything about it. Otherwise, P-squared, if you double click on IDE-ATA...Controllers, that brings up Intel(R) 200 series (etc), double click on that, go for 'Driver' , then 'Driver details' and you might, at...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Windows Update

I think this was the problem for the original poster, too. It seems to be world-wide because MS are now forcing the 'upgrade' to 1903. The problem with a clean install is that you have to reinstall everything else as well - isn't it? Takes hours and hours. Or am I wrong?

Wow, you've started earlier than I did! Many thanks. If you look at https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-1903-update-blocked-by-old-intel-rapid-storage-drivers/, for example, it directs me to iaStorA.sys 15.5.0.1051. They reckon it should be 15.9.6.1044 or later -...

I seem to have a similar problem. (It looks like this is a world-wide issue) and I am, unfortunately, not very good with the updating of drivers. I attach a.pdf of the notification, and one with driver info. The system is simple 2 drives - C & F. Are you saying that all I need is to delete the...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Webbook - small notebook

I'm looking for a very small notebook which will run Windows 7 home, at least, and can be attached to an external monitor and, if necessary, keyboard and mouse. 10"? The closest I can see around as a promise is the Samsung TX100, which appears not to have come out yet. Do you do anything which...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Monitor resolution

After several months use on one of your computers my monitor has suddenly decided that it can only manage the native resolution of 1920x1200 in a squashed, corrupt way. It's ok at 1920x1200. What is likely to be at fault? Part of the computer? The monitor itself? Help, please! Thanks
