PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Do I need more cooling?

Thanks, do you know if I can just drop it in and the mobo will recognise it/them? There seems to be space for another one at the front but maybe not at the back.

That would help, sorry! It's this but with a Titan XP in there too. Oh, and I've got a 1200w PSU now too. Case FRACTAL DEFINE R5 BLACK QUIET MID-TOWER CASE Overclocked CPU Overclocked Intel® Core™ i7-7820X Eight Core (3.60GHz @ up to 4.6GHz) OC BIOS FIle Download Overclock BIOS File...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Do I need more cooling?

Hey folks. I bought a PCS tower with 2x1080Ti and I've since added a TitanX in there too. The 3 cards are slammed up against each other and it regularly sits at about 85 degrees - which I think is the limit I've set thru MSI afterburner. I've got the Fractal Define R5 case with two 1000rpm fans...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Swapping out PSU - Should be simple right?

Hi all, I posted something about this a month or two ago, so please don't hate me for revisiting this. I want to upgrade my PSU from a Corsair RM1000x to a HX1200 so I can install another GPU. I bought the new PSU and tried to install it but this happened: I tried a million different things...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

If I'm honest I wasn't sure why it was BSOD, so I couldn't tell them how/when it happened. I thought it was quite random. They ran all the usual hardware tests (as did I) and they all came back fine. I use Maxon's Cinema 4D and Adobe software everyday on that machine, so maybe I was running...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

Hi everyone, so a little update on this: I was away on holiday last week and left the PC in a local shop (the PCS parts warranty ran out and I only had a few days left on the labour warranty, so I'm cool with that), and they couldn't find anything wrong with it and couldn't replicate the BSOD...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

I downloaded the Corsair link app which got rid of the 'missing driver' warning in Device manager, but still getting the WHEA BSOD. I took it into a local PC shop today, I'll report back what happens... Thanks for the help and suggestions everybody.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

There's something called Corsair link that seems to be a suite for monitoring, etc, but no actual drivers. Since I don't think I had that before, I probably don't need it now. Unless it might help? A friend of mine gave me a little app called Core Temp and the CPU seemed to be pretty normal really.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

Hi all, I had a look in the device manager to see if there were any driver issues that could be causing my BSOD and the CPU cooler (Corsair H100i v2) doesn't have a driver installed. Should there be?! Anyone know if this is normal or not? I ran a CPU test from intel and it passed fine.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

I just stumbled upon this thread on reddit: I did use the 'old' cables that were all neatly routed by the PCS guys. Since it was from a Corsair PSU I thought it would be fine. They look and fit identically.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

Yes, I think it has to be connected to the new PSU I tried to install. It was an upgrade in the sense that it's a corsair psu and all the cables and ports are exactly the same on both. Since I tried and failed to install it I've reset the CMOS and BIOS and it's still crashing. I've kind of...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

Yes, it's still crashing. Same WHEA errors. Here is the dump it created: https://we.tl/t-7WMiVZFfLv I've taken the cards in/out, put one in; crash. Then two; crash. I've tried different slots on the mobo too.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

Just re-seated the RAM, all nice and snug. All other cables nice and tight too. Running out of ideas now. Anyone else got any suggestions they'd like to chip in with? :)

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

That was my next step, then I was going to redo the cabling too in case that also got nudged. I'll let you know how I get on.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

Ok, that's a bit of a weird one. I'll maybe give PCS a call and see if they can help me disable the OC. Having played with it, I am actually starting to be able to make it crash. I'm a designer and use a lot of 3D design tools, so every time I try run Maxon's C4D it crashes the system. And I've...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Has my new HX1200 PSU fried my machine?

Hey! Thanks for your help, sounds like we might be getting to the root of the problem. I bought the PC from PCS with the overclock already on the CPU. I've reset the CMOS and restored the BIOS to it's 'optimised defaults'. Does that mean the overclock is off now? There's nowhere in the BIOS...

Hi, Here's a link to the minidumps: https://we.tl/t-QjJJMylBR2 There is a larger MEMORY.DMP file that is 1.6GB which will take me a bit longer to upload, I'll start it now. Thanks for your help. Donny.
