    Laptop Cosmos VII, the Keyboard back-light is not working and I would like it to, so any help would be gratefully received. It's set in control center to be working at about 50% but no light is showing at any setting. I suspect it's a s/w issue though. Running Windows 10 Pro x64 version 21H2...

    My W10 system was immensely improved by disabling Windows Defender (and using a free anti-virus s/w instead). I have not seen that problem since. I think it was a race condition caused by Defender maxing out various resources at startup. It had got to the state where the system was unusable...

    It's part of Clevo's Hotkey, in C:\Program Files (x86)\Hotkey . I think it changes one or more settings depending on what motherboard it detects, but not sure at all. See c:\windows\pcinstall\cmd\auxswitch.ps1
