PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Old SSD not working

Cheers for the replies, so when I right click on disk 2 it comes up with the options Convert to dynamic disk/ Convert to MBR disk. And when I right click on the unallocated section it comes up with the option to create a New simple volume. Does that help me? Thanks

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Old SSD not working

Hi, this has totally nothing to do with equipment I've bought from PC Specialist but thought I'd try my luck. I have an old ssd (Samsung T5 External SSD 1TB), but it isn't showing up on my pc to transfer things into it. I've tried formatting it on my PS5, which worked, but doesn't recognise it...

    PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Bad/intermittent wifi signal

Hey guys, I need some advice about getting a better wifi signal. I rent a room in a shared house so can't mess with the router in the house so I was thinking maybe an extender might help the signal get to my PC and PS4. The router is too far to run an ethernet cable unless I asked the landlord...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Bad wifi in a shared house

Quick question about my home wifi. Since I'm in a shared house and can't use ethernet cables, I'm using the wireless antennae supplied with my pc and am getting good speeds 50% of the time (20-50Mb/s). But sometimes, I've noticed it late at night (11pm-3am) that my internet on my pc cuts out and...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Bad wifi in a shared house

Yes the PS4 has its own built in wifi but even that occasionally cuts out and after a few seconds I have a useable connection. By useable I mean approx. 1Mb/s upload or less.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Bad wifi in a shared house

Just updated windows 10 to the latest version but had the problem since I started using the pc 2 months ago. I assume it's all up to date but how would I check if I need to update them?

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Bad wifi in a shared house

I've screwed on the 2 antennas that came with the PC and there aren't slots for them on the motherboard so I'm guessing it's a separate card. This is what I ordered with the PC: WIRELESS 802.11 AC1200 867Mbps/5GHz, 300Mbps/2.4GHz PCI-E CARD.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Bad wifi in a shared house

Hey guys, not sure if this should be posted here but I bought a good PC from here and am trying to use it for gaming and streaming but the wifi is pretty bad. I'm on the bottom floor and the modem is at the top of one flight of stairs about 10 paces away. Is there anything I could do to get a...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Help with a new PC build

Hi again, thought I'd repost on this thread so I don't repeat info somewhere else. Bought the PC a week ago and ordered the lg monitor same time. Monitor is still on preorder and getting a little tired of it connected to my TV. I was thinking of cancelling my pre order and buying a different...

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Help with a new PC build

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help and I'll be ordering my PC today and hope it comes in time for me to game. Quick question: is there any point in getting the Ryzen 7 processors and roughly what's the longevity of my build so I know when I need to upgrade my parts.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Help with a new PC build

Agree with the GPU and CPU. Why judge the framerate you get from a GPU by using The Witcher? (Just curious) Any advice on cases (I'm a bit of a show off and besides the great tech inside I'd like the outside to look cool as well) When is the new LG monitor supposed to come out? Anything else to add?

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Help with a new PC build

£1800 approx. for the PC alone but could spend a bit more if needed. I'm looking to buy the monitor around 2/3 weeks later for £200/250. Not exactly sure about prices so wanted some good recommendations.

PCSPECIALIST, PCSPECIALIST Help with a new PC build

Hey guys. Planning to get a new desktop for gaming purposes and seeing as my friend got one from this site recently, I wanted some advice on the build he bought and if anything is worth upgrading e.g. CPU/GPU/Graphics card/Space. I currently use a ps4 connected to my TV and haven’t been PC...
